Chapter 872
Andrew smirked. โPoisoning the air ensures that even those who didnโt drink the tea would still be affected. This was the brilliant master plan you and Michael were so confident about, wasnโt it?โ
His casual, almost mocking tone sent a chill through the room.
Michael was not the only one looking shaken now. Even Bane, who had been grinning wickedly before, had gone completely silent. His expression darkened, filled with unease.
โYou actually noticed the colorless poison? Impressive, Andrew. You continue to surprise me,โ Bane admitted.
He was shocked but refused to let it show. Men like him had spent their lives in the underworld, and they were masters of deception, skilled at keeping their emotions hidden.
โBut even if you did figure it out and even if you didnโt get poisoned, it doesnโt change a thing,โ Bane sneered. Michael grinned menacingly. โYeah, Andrew, you mightโve dodged the poison, but so what? Bane and I have more than enough people here to take you down.โ
Bane chuckled. โWe donโt even need all of us. Just me and one of my men will be more than enough to finish you off.โ
Tianaโs voice was sharp and urgent. โMr. Lloyd, the safety of everyone in this company is now in your hands. If you can get us out of this, Iโll agree to anything you ask for!โ
Lauren, breathing heavily from the poisonโs effects, shook her head. โDr. Lloyd, donโt worry about us. Just runโget out of here and call the police. Thatโs the best chance to save everyone!โ
Marcus agreed. โMr. Lloyd, youโre outnumbered. Fighting them head-on is too risky. Forget us. If you call the authorities, Michael and his thugs wonโt escape.โ
Michael scoffed. โCall the cops? Do you think Iโd give you that chance? Right now, all of you are too weak to move, and only Andrew is still standing.โ
His grin widened as he pulled out a gleaming knife, holding it against Laurenโs throat. โAnd Andrewโif you so much as twitch, Iโll slit her throat.โ
Laurenโs eyes burned with fury. โMichael, you coward! You have no shame!โ
Michael sneered. โLike I had a choice! You all forced me into this! And especially you, Andrew. Today is the day you die!โ
Andrew remained unfazed. โYouโve been ranting for so long about how youโre going to kill me. But if thatโs the case, why havenโt you done it yet? Or is it that youโre just all talkโtoo much of a coward to actually make a move?โ
Michaelโs face twisted in rage. โBane! Get rid of him! Now! Once heโs crippled, Iโll finish him off myself!โ
Andrew chuckled. โOh? So youโre scared, Michael? You want Bane to die first just so you donโt have to face me yourself?โ
Baneโs expression darkened. โAndrew, youโre getting way too cocky. Iโve been waiting for a chance to teach you a lesson. Finally, the chance has come for you to learn that experience always beats raw talent!โ
He snapped his fingers. โSimonโdo it!โ
At his command, a thin, frail-looking man stepped out of the shadows. His face was gaunt, his eyes sunken, his figure almost sickly. He slowly pulled down the hood of his cloak, revealing his skeletal face, and let out a low, sinister chuckle.
Chapter 77
โAndrew, Iโve waited for this moment for so long. You ruined me, shattered my life, turning me into a shell of a man. I swear, Iโll make you pay in blood today!โ
Andrew raised a brow, looking him up and down. Then, with a wry grimace, he muttered, โSimon? Youโre still alive?โ
Simonโs eyes blazed with fury. โYouโre still alive, so why the hell would I be dead?! You stole Francesca from me and exiled me from the Alckers. Iโm here to settle our score!โ
The moment the words left his mouth, his hands turned black, coated in a toxic sheen as he lunged at Andrew with a feral rage.
โAndrew, maybe I wasnโt your equal before, but after being trained and empowered by Mr. Ealingerโif I donโt kill you tonight, then Iโm not a man!โ
