Chapter 729
Grabbing Laurenโs delicate hand, Andrew said, โLetโs go. We need to make a trip to Glorious Pharmaceuticals and check with Mr. Brunner to see when the first batch of products will be ready for release.โ
Lauren frowned. โThe timeline is too tight. Iโd say itโll take at least another two weeks.โ
Andrew shook his head. โNo, Iโm only giving him two days at most.โ
The two of them quickly drove over to Glorious Pharmaceuticals. As soon as they arrived, Stephen came rushing out with a bright smile. โMr. Lloyd, Ms. Rhodes, welcome!โ
Lauren returned his smile politely. โSorry to bother you again, Mr. Brunner.โ
Stephen waved his hands. โOh, come on, Ms. Rhodes, no need to say that! Being able to work with Mr. Lloyd is an honor. I should be thanking you!โ
Andrew did not hesitate to walk straight over to Stephenโs office chair and sit down, leaving Stephen standing there awkwardly with nowhere to sit. After glancing around helplessly, Stephen finally resigned himself to just standing and waiting for instructions.
Lauren held back a laugh and gestured to the side. โMr. Brunner, letโs just sit on the couch instead.โ
Stephen instantly scurried over and sat downโthough he made sure to keep two seats of distance between himself and Lauren.
Andrew leaned back lazily. โMr. Brunner, Lauren and I are here for just one thing. We need a straight answer: when will the first batch of our special products be ready for release?โ
Stephen hesitated before replying, โMr. Lloyd, my factory has already been working overtime, but realistically, itโll take at least ten days.โ
Andrew shook his head. โThatโs too slow.โ
Stephenโs eye twitched, and he quickly lowered the timeframe. โEight days! Mr. Lloyd, give me eight days, and I swear Iโll get it doneโeven if I have to work day and night without rest.โ
Andrew remained unmoved. โNot good enough.โ
Stephenโs forehead immediately broke out in cold sweat. He looked like he was about to cry. โFive days! Five days is my absolute limit! If you push me any harder, Mr. Lloyd, you might as well bury me now!โ
Lauren could not help but feel bad for him and turned to Andrew with a slight pout. โDr. Lloyd, Mr. Brunner is really doing his bestโI can see that. Thereโs no way he can go any faster!โ
Andrew smiled. โMr. Brunner, Iโm not forcing youโIโm negotiating with you. Hereโs the deal: Iโll give you two more days, but by then, I need the first batch ready for release.โ
Stephen paled. โMr. Lloyd, if youโre serious about thatโฆ then I might as well just jump off a building now and save myself the trouble!โ
Andrew scoffed. โWith that kind of attitude, itโs no wonder Glorious Pharmaceuticals is only the top pharmaceutical company in Jayrodaleโand not beyond.โ
Stephen immediately straightened, looking offended. โMr. Lloyd, donโt underestimate my business! Do you know how many pharmaceutical distributors beg to get my products?โ
Andrew let out a cold chuckle. โThose distributors? Their market size barely scratches a few millionโat most a hundred million, if Iโm being generous. But I need you to produce a product that will generate at least a billion in revenue!โ
Stephen sucked in a sharp breath, shaking his head violently. โImpossible, Mr. Lloyd! Absolutely impossible! Even if my factory could handle that kind of production, do you really have a billion dollars ready to throw at me right this second?โ
Andrew rolled his eyes. โObviously, I know you wouldnโt dare take an order that big. If you did recklessly accept it, Iโd make sure your company shut down by tomorrow.โ
Stephen laughed nervously, feeling completely exposed under Andrewโs gaze.
He had considered playing a few tricks to stall things, but now? He did not dare anymore.
Andrewโs expression turned serious. โTell me, if I only give you two more days, whatโs stopping you from producing the first batch?โ
Stephen did not even hesitate. โMachines. I need more equipment!โ
