Chapter 710

Winstonโ€™s intentions were obviousโ€“he wanted Christina and Aspen to know just how significant his status was.

Aspen gave a demure smile. โ€œAh, so youโ€™re the young heir of the Wright family. Itโ€™s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Wright.โ€

Christina, feeling a bit nervous, gave a small nod. โ€œHello, Mr. Wright.โ€

Winston laughed heartily. โ€œLadies, I assume youโ€™re here today to witness the grand finale of Mr. Chapmanโ€™s Reckoning Toast?โ€

Aspen tilted her head with a playful smile. โ€œMr. Wright, youโ€™re so sharp! Yes, we did come to join the fun. But honestly, we donโ€™t really understand these kinds of events. Weโ€™re just here to watch.โ€

Winstonโ€™s chest swelled with pride. โ€œWell, youโ€™re in for a treat. Sit back and enjoy the showโ€“Iโ€™m about to deal with that nobody, Andrew.โ€

Aspenโ€™s eyes widened in mock surprise as she parted her soft, red lips. โ€œWaitโ€ฆ Mr. Wright, are you really going to step in on Mr. Chapmanโ€™s behalf?โ€

Winston let out a disdainful snort, his expression turning cold. โ€œOf course. Raymondโ€™s basically my dog. When someone kicks my dog without asking me first, theyโ€™re disrespecting me. And you knowโ€ฆ if I donโ€™t teach that Andrew a lesson, people might start thinking Iโ€™m weak.โ€

Aspen covered her mouth with a charming laugh. โ€œWow, Mr. Wright! Youโ€™ve barely arrived in Jayrodale, and youโ€™ve already stirred up such a storm. With someone like you supporting Mr. Chapman, heโ€™ll be able to walk all over this city from now on.โ€

Winston was practically glowing from the flattery. His smile stretched even wider, his confidence soaring. He loved how easily women were drawn to him once they caught a hint of his familyโ€™s power.

As the young heir of the Wright family, Winston believed his life was nothing short of perfect. After all, in his mind, there was not a single beautiful woman in this world he could not get if he wanted her.

Meanwhile, Raymond stood awkwardly to the side, forcing a stiff smile. He had just been called a dogโ€“right in front of everyone. Yet, what could he do? Against the Wright family from Blumedale, he really was a nobody.

Hence, despite the humiliation burning in his chest, Raymond told himself it was a privilege to serve a man like Winston.

Aspen raised her glass, her smile bright and playful. โ€œMr. Wright, Iโ€™m surprised someone of your status would even bother coming to a small town like Jayrodale. Iโ€™m curiousโ€ฆ how are you planning to show off your strength today? I canโ€™t wait to see.โ€

Winstonโ€™s ego inflated even more under her attention. He downed a shot of whiskey and grinned. โ€œSimple,โ€ he declared. โ€œAs soon as that punk Andrew walks in, Iโ€™ll make him get on his knees. And after that? Iโ€™ll do whatever the hell I want with him.โ€

Aspenโ€™s eyes sparkled. โ€œOh, Mr. Wright, you better not let me down. Iโ€™ll be watching closely the whole time!โ€

Winston gave a confident wave of his hand. โ€œDonโ€™t worry, sweetheart. You two are in for quite a show.โ€

Finley stood off to the side, lazily swirling his drink with an amused smirk. He thought Aspen was impressiveโ€“dangerously so. With just a few playful words, she had Winston wrapped around her finger.

In just a few minutes, Aspen had inflated Winstonโ€™s ego and subtly ignited his resentment toward Andrew. โ€˜What a clever little snake,โ€˜ Finley mused, โ€˜A textbook case of using one manโ€™s sword to kill another.โ€˜

Too bad Winston was too stupid to notice. For all his familyโ€™s wealth and power, Winston had the intelligence of a blunt knife. Aspen had barely even tried, yet he was already putty in her hands.
