Chapter 702

Michael beamed with pride at the praise and quickly responded with false humility.

โ€œAunt Tiana, you flatter me. What I shared just now is only the tip of the iceberg. Iโ€™ll prepare a detailed market analysis for you laterโ€”a summary of everything Iโ€™ve learned during my time at the company. Itโ€™s the least I can do.โ€

Lauren shook her head and let out a quiet snort. โ€œShowboating. I bet that โ€˜researchโ€™ was just copy-pasted off the internet. Youโ€™re not fooling anyone.โ€

Michael, unfazed, grinned smugly. โ€œSo what if it was? Everythingโ€™s on the internet these days. I learn from what I find there, and I think itโ€™s brilliant!โ€

Laurenโ€™s lips twitched into a cold smile. โ€œLearning? Is that what you call hiding in your office watching Eastonian adult films all day?โ€

Michaelโ€™s face turned beet red. He clenched his fists and snapped, โ€œLauren, this is a professional meeting. Iโ€™d appreciate it if you stuck to relevant topics!โ€

Tianaโ€™s gaze shifted to Andrew, her expression amused. โ€œMr. Lloyd, what happened to that sharp tongue of yours? Didnโ€™t you just have a lot to say about our strategy? Why so quiet all of a sudden?โ€

Andrew sighed, shaking his head as if bored. โ€œTalking to idiots is exhausting. Might as well save my breath.โ€

Tianaโ€™s gaze darkened. โ€œAndrew, if you really know what youโ€™re talking about, then speak up. Otherwise, stop pretending to be some enlightened genius. I canโ€™t stand people who act profound when they have nothing of substance to offer.โ€

Andrew gave a cold laugh. โ€œSo, all of you are Rhodes Corporation executives, right? People with impressive resumes, top-tier degrees, and years of corporate experience? Yet when Michael spouted his idiotic theory just now, you clapped like a bunch of trained seals."

โ€œHonestly, Iโ€™m starting to think Rhodes Corporation isnโ€™t a top-three company in Jayrodale after all. Itโ€™s more like a flashy pyramid scheme with better branding. All of you here are mediocre at best.โ€

Tiana slammed her hand on the table, her face twisted with rage. โ€œWhat did you just say? Who the hell are you calling mediocre?โ€

The other executives also bristled with anger.

Andrewโ€™s expression remained calm as he locked eyes with Tiana. โ€œWhoever agreed with Michaelโ€™s nonsense. If you stood with that trash logic, congratulationsโ€”youโ€™re part of the mediocrity. Any objections?โ€

Tianaโ€™s body trembled with barely contained fury. โ€œAll right, then. If you think Michaelโ€™s ideas are so stupid, prove it. Go ahead. Enlighten us with your brilliance. Otherwise, I swear Iโ€™ll teach you a lesson about running your mouth in my boardroom.โ€

Andrew shrugged. โ€œMrs. Rhodes, I donโ€™t talk big. I just have a low tolerance for stupidity. And by the way, Iโ€™ve invested five billion dollars into Rhodes Corporation. Do you really think Iโ€™m going to sit back and let you guys flush it down the drain?โ€

Michael forced himself to smile, though his eyes were venomous. โ€œAndrew, enough with the theatrics. If youโ€™ve got something to say, spit it out. Because when it comes to products, markets, and business strategy, Iโ€™m in the stratosphere while youโ€™re still stuck in the dirt.โ€

Andrew gave him a long, emotionless stare. โ€œLet me get this straightโ€”you said the key to success is targeting the wealthy because rich people donโ€™t care about price, right?โ€

Michael lifted his chin. โ€œExactly. Thatโ€™s what I call superior business acumen.โ€
