Chapter 64
Andrew smirked. โEighth-degree black belt? Is that supposed to impress me?โ
Francesca gritted her teeth at his ignorance. Harvey had been one of the top young fighters in Jayrodale even before going abroad, training in martial arts since childhood. Andrew had defeated South City's Bobby, but Harvey was in a completely different league.
Dexter taunted from the mat, โScared, kid? Don't worry, I won't humiliate you too badlyโjust enough to send you crawling home like a dog!โ
Francesca pleaded desperately, โPlease, Andrew, even if you lose, take it like a man. Don't embarrass Lauren and me. Do you want Lauren to seem inferior to Christina?โ
Andrew sighed, already annoyed. Nevertheless, he stepped onto the stage with a relaxed stride. He looked at Dexter and said, โSince accidents happen, let's keep it friendly.โ
Dexter was taken aback, then burst out laughing. โYou're asking for mercy before we even begin? You really are a coward!โ
Harvey smiled at Christina. โChristie, you said Andrew was skilled and had saved you? He seemsโฆ different now. Clearly frightened.โ
Christina sighed, unsure how to respond. Sheโd seen Andrew fight impressively, but he seemed no match for Dexterโs skill.
Francesca stamped her foot, her face contorted with frustration. โAndrew, you're pathetic! Before even throwing a punch, you're asking for mercy? What was the point of all that tough talk?โ
Dexter let out a battle cry and launched a flying kick. Andrewโs casual stance and apparent lack of defense filled him with contempt. He planned to knock Andrew off the mat and break a few ribs.
โChristie, better call the medical office for a stretcher,โ Harvey remarked dispassionately.
A sharp smack echoed through the room, followed by a howl of pain. Dexter clutched his swollen face on the mat. โYou bastard, how dare you hit me!โ
โWatch your language,โ Andrew warned. โBesides, I suggested a friendly match.โ
Dexter exploded. โYou worthless piece of trash! If you want me to go easy, get on your knees!โ
Chapter 64 (Continued)
Andrew shook his head. โIf we're not keeping it light, let's get this over with.โ He stepped forward and threw a straight punch at Dexterโs face.
โThatโs not how taekwondo works! Go to hell!โ Dexter shouted, aiming a powerful kick at Andrewโs chest.
Instead of connecting, Andrew struck downward. A crack echoed as his fist hit Dexterโs thigh, bringing tears to his eyes. Before Dexter could curse, Andrewโs hand whipped across his face repeatedly. Blood streamed from his nose and mouth as Dexter staggered backward and tumbled off the mat. Francesca, Christina, and the other women screamed in shock. The medical staff rushed in to carry away Dexter, his face swollen and bleeding.
