Chapter 443
Andrew shook his head and warned, โJerry, youโre being too arrogant. From what I can see, the head of Madblade Martial Academy doesnโt even need to intervene; that martial arts expert next to Rodney alone is enough to give you serious trouble.โ
Jerry sneered. โWhat do you know about fighting levels? Do you think you can see something I canโt? Young man, donโt mistake ignorance for courage; itโs truly foolish!โ
Ollie Keoghan, who had just been called upon, mocked, โAndrew, why do you always have to run your mouth when youโre around Ms. Rhodes? Jerry could probably take you down with one finger.โ
โOllieโs rightโthis guyโs a nobody who talks too much,โ another guard chimed in.
โSince weโre having three matches, letโs win the first two to secure victory. Then, we can let this punk go up for the last round and get beaten to a pulp by Madbladeโs fighters.โ
Jerryโs bodyguards shot hostile looks at Andrew, joining in the criticism. Andrew shook his head, noting how Jerryโs people had inherited his excessive arroganceโa trait that would surely lead to their downfall.
The fighting ring at Madblade Martial Academy was set up. Rodney sat comfortably in his leather chair, smirking, and taunted, โLauren, donโt back out if you lose. Iโve been eyeing your black stockings for a while now. Once I get them, Iโll play with them day and night!โ
Lauren maintained a blank expression, though internally she was disgusted by Rodneyโs perverted and vulgar behavior. Stockings were a womanโs personal item, and some people had strange fetishesโfrom underwear to socks with odor. Lauren would not let anyone touch her intimate clothing, except perhaps her beloved Andrew.
Meanwhile, Andrew was amazed at Rodneyโs boldness. It was one thing to have such peculiar interests, but to announce them publicly showed there was definitely something wrong with the young manโs mind.
With a wave of Rodneyโs hand, a Madblade Academy student jumped into the ring. Jerry was visibly upset. โHow dare you send a mere student to fight! Fine, if youโre going to be so cocky, Iโll teach you a lesson you wonโt forget!โ
Then, Ollie jumped into the ring. The Madblade student, wearing a black headband, immediately launched a high kick at Ollie, who dodged to the side with a snort and countered with an elbow strike to the face.
Andrew watched the exchange and shook his head.
โWhatโs wrong, Dr. Lloyd?โ Lauren asked curiously.
โThe outcome is already decided,โ Andrew replied simply.
โAlready? But they just started fighting,โ Lauren said in surprise.
Andrew explained, โThis Madblade student is just pretending to be weak. In a few more exchanges, when Ollieโs stamina drops, heโll lose.โ
Lauren pondered this warning thoughtfully, while Jerry interjected, โIf you donโt understand fighting, donโt spout nonsense. Ollie losing in a few exchanges? Thatโs ridiculous! Combat can change in an instant, and Ollie is my trained studentโhis fundamentals are far beyond this Madblade student.โ
โWhatever makes you happy, Jerry,โ Andrew replied with a light laugh.
Behind Jerry, several well-postured Rhodes family bodyguards shared silent smirks. To them, Andrew was just a clown who knew nothing but dared to comment. They knew that if not for Laurenโs protection, Jerry would have already put him in his place.
