Michael cleared his throat. “There’s another important matter—the Weller Group has been making significant moves lately.” He added, “Harvey has somehow found the courage to aggressively expand into the pharmaceutical industry. Their first products have already hit the market to excellent reviews.”
He paused, then exploded in anger. “Meanwhile, our pharmaceutical department is full of deadweight! Rhodes Pharmaceuticals has decades of expertise and a strong foundation. We’ve always dominated the Jayrodale market, but now Harvey, that incompetent fool, is stealing our business! Can anyone explain this?”
Marcus reluctantly spoke. “Mr. Rhodes, I’ve been overseeing our pharmaceutical division, a flagship department. Our production volume and quality remain solid, consistently outperforming the Weller Group. The only issue is their new health supplement, which has been incredibly successful. This single product has given them the confidence to compete.”
Michael’s face darkened. “If you know the cause, why haven’t you acted?”
Marcus explained uncomfortably, “It’s not that I don’t want to, but their supplement has shown remarkable results—ours simply can’t compete. I suspect they received help from an industry expert; otherwise, developing such an effective product so quickly is impossible.”
Michael sneered. “You suspect? Always with the suspicions. Well, Mr. Chapman, if the position of Head of Pharmaceutical Division is too challenging, perhaps you should consider a lesser role.”

Marcus responded bitterly, “Yes, Mr. Rhodes.”
Michael stood, waving his hand. “That’s all for today’s meeting. Ms. Weinstein, please stay behind and come to my office. We have some multi-million dollar projects to discuss.”
Andrew noticed Cindy Weinstein, the attractive secretary in her pencil skirt, blush, looking eager. Several executives exchanged knowing smirks before departing.
As Lauren left the conference room, she muttered in disgust, “Just a horny idiot.”
Eunice said worriedly, “Miss, recovering the 60 million from the Northern District won’t be easy. I heard that after Mr. Giordano’s incident, several partners went to collect their money. They returned empty-handed and beaten.”
