Chapter 399

Just as Andrew was wrestling with his decision, Francesca called. โ€œAndrew, we have a critical patient at the hospital who needs your personal attention. Can you come now?โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll be right there,โ€ Andrew responded, then turned to Natasha. โ€œYou heard that. I need to get to Jayrodale General Hospital right away.โ€

โ€œDoes it have to be so urgent?โ€ Natasha asked, clearly frustrated.

โ€œOf course itโ€™s urgent. Itโ€™s a medical emergency,โ€ Andrew said hastily, as Natasha began to undress.

She purred. โ€œTen minutes is all I need. We can make it quick!โ€

โ€œYou think I only last ten minutes?โ€ Andrewโ€™s face darkened.

Natasha gave him a flirtatious wink and giggled. โ€œYouโ€™re right. You need at least thirty minutes.โ€

โ€œWrongโ€”one hour minimum,โ€ Andrew corrected before making his escape.

Before she could respond, he darted out the door, unwilling to let the sultry widow trap him any further. Natasha had been alone far too long, and her unrestrained hunger was impossible to ignore.

As Andrew fled, Natasha called after him with a sly grin, โ€œDarling, Iโ€™m taking this as a yes! You owe me that hour later!โ€

Andrew nearly stumbled as he left. Even with his enhanced physical capabilities, the thought of keeping up with a senior grandmaster like Natasha for an hour was daunting.

Natasha chuckled softly as she watched him retreat. Then, her tone turned serious. โ€œDonโ€™t forget, Andrewโ€”Ernestโ€™s symptoms are due to show tomorrow. You promised to meet me then.โ€

Andrew paused briefly, nodding before rushing off. Tomorrow would indeed mark the third dayโ€”the day Ernestโ€™s condition would finally escalate.

When Andrew arrived at Jayrodale General Hospital, Francesca greeted him with a curious look. โ€œWhere were you just now? You look like you barely escaped something terrifying.โ€

Andrew let out a sigh of relief, still shaken. โ€œI just ran from a tigerโ€™s den, Fran. It scared the life out of me.โ€

Francesca laughed. โ€œAs long as it wasnโ€™t a tigress!โ€

Andrew blinked, startled. How does she always know? he wondered, feeling a pang of guilt.

He thought Francescaโ€™s intuition was almost supernatural. Clearing his throat, he changed the subject. โ€œWhereโ€™s the patient? Lead the way.โ€

As Francesca guided him through the hallway, she said, โ€œAndrew, Lauren and I have been talking, and weโ€™ve decided itโ€™s time for you to leave Jayrodale General Hospital.โ€

Andrew stopped in his tracks, shocked. โ€œWhat? Are you two kicking me out?โ€

Francesca blushed, swatting at him playfully. โ€œWeโ€™d never do that. Your clinic is fully renovated and ready to open. We thought itโ€™d be better for you to run your own practice. With your skills, it wonโ€™t take long for it to become the most sought-after clinic in the entire city!โ€

Her dimples deepened as she beamed, clearly thrilled by the thought. Seeing her excitement warmed Andrewโ€™s heart.

He chuckled. โ€œFran, Iโ€™ll leave it to you then. When the clinic opens, Iโ€™ll be there to take charge.โ€

Francesca nodded, her bright eyes full of enthusiasm. โ€œLauren and I both think itโ€™s a waste of your talent to stay here. The clinic will be yours completelyโ€”youโ€™ll have full control. I know it wonโ€™t be long before your name becomes a household name, even surpassing my grandfatherโ€™s reputation!โ€

Andrew felt a wave of gratitude as he realized how much effort Francesca and Lauren had poured into setting up his new clinic. They had thought of everything, even envisioning his success before he had.

He smiled warmly. โ€œAll right, Fran. Iโ€™ll trust your judgment and make the clinic my new base. Letโ€™s make it happen.โ€
