Chapter 295
"Is there a problem?" Natasha asked, smiling.
"Madam, please allow me to explain," Aspen said seriously. "Andrew is unworthy of being your dance partner; indeed, he's unworthy of being your servant."
Natasha shook her head. "Ms. Stevens, this is my affair. If you'll excuse me, we can converse further after the gala." She then walked directly to Andrew, leaving Aspen speechless.
The other guests noticed Natasha's movement, and whispers rippled through the crowd.
"What's so special about this guy that Madam Vostokoff would ask him to dance?" someone muttered.
"She even turned down Finley! Could she actually be interested in him?" another wondered aloud.
"That's no ordinary guyโthat's Andrew Lloyd, and rumor has it he doesn't even defer to Finley or Atlas!" someone explained.
The crowd buzzed with gossip, particularly the men, who watched jealously as Natasha smiled at Andrew like a lovesick teenager.
Finley roughly squeezed Yvonne's bottom as they danced, grinding his teeth in anger. "I can't believe that woman is interested in Andrew. What does that gold-digger have that I don't?"
"Finley, what is wrong with you?" Yvonne snapped, wincing in pain. "Instead of sulking, why don't you teach that pretty boy a lesson? If you're so tough, go and confront him!"
Finley was speechless. He wanted to deal with Andrew, but this was Natasha's domain, and with Dylan present, he dared not act alone.
Aspen returned to Christina's side, her expression icy.
Christina noticed her foul mood. "Aspen, what's wrong?"
Aspen laughed coldly. "Did you see that, Christie? Madam Vostokoff actually invited that gold-digger, Andrew, to dance. He must have some tricks up his sleeve to seduce even the Black Widow."
"What? Madam Vostokoff invited Andrew to dance with her? That's impossible!" Christina exclaimed in disbelief. Andrew's friendship with Lauren and Francesca had already surprised her, but the idea of him captivating Natasha, the queen of West End, seemed unthinkable.
Aspen took a drink of water to calm her irritation. "Go see for yourselfโthey're on the lawn, lost in each other. I was hoping to discuss important matters with Natasha, but Andrew ruined everything."
Christina hurried to the lawn and saw Natasha and Andrew slow-dancing. Natasha was giggling like a schoolgirl in Andrew's arms.
"Is he really that appealing to women?" Christina mumbled, a disquieting feeling settling in her heart.
