Chapter 282

โ€œThen dealing with the remaining side would be effortless, since theyโ€™d be standing alone,โ€ Andrew concluded.

Dylan nodded. โ€œMr. Lloydโ€™s absolutely right. We could see Atlasโ€™s intentions from his all-out attack on South Cityโ€”he wanted to eliminate obstacles quickly. Unfortunately for him, Griffin was taken out by Mr. Lloyd, forcing him to abort his plans.โ€

โ€œYou killed Griffin, Mr. Lloyd?โ€ Natasha asked, studying Andrew with undisguised curiosity. This pretty boy possessed impressive guts, eloquence, and intelligence, but Dylanโ€™s suggestion that heโ€™d also taken down Griffin, Atlasโ€™s right-hand man, was astonishing. Could he be exceptional in combat as well?

โ€œTaking him down was pure luck,โ€ Andrew replied calmly. โ€œNothing worth making a fuss about.โ€

Natasha batted her eyes, smiling seductively. โ€œDonโ€™t be so modest, Mr. Lloyd. Even if it was luck, youโ€™re still a true hero. Iโ€™ve been a widow for so long, and Iโ€™ve never met such a capable young man. I hate to admit it, but Iโ€™m quite drawn to you.โ€

Natasha was bewitchingly beautiful. Her youthful and smooth skin rivaled that of any young girl, and she possessed a mature allure that younger women lacked, making every movement captivating. Combined with her powerful position and intriguing widowhood, she could make any young manโ€™s head spin. Even Dylan found himself somewhat affected by her charms.

However, Andrew seemed completely immune to her flirtations. He cleared his throat. โ€œLetโ€™s focus on the important matters first. For South City and West End to survive, I see only one solution.โ€

โ€œPlease tell us, Mr. Lloyd,โ€ Natasha urged. Her immediate concern for West Endโ€™s survival revealed a depth beyond her initial flirtation.

โ€œAn alliance between your two territories is inevitable,โ€ Andrew stated. โ€œWithout joining forces, youโ€™ll be sitting ducksโ€”neither of you can match Atlas and Finley alone.โ€

After a moment of silence, Natasha gritted her teeth. โ€œAtlas is a wolf in sheepโ€™s clothing, and I almost fell for his trap. Fine, for West Endโ€™s future, Iโ€™m willing to ally with Mr. Garnerโ€™s South City.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s exactly the attitude I hoped for coming to East Side tonight!โ€ Dylan exclaimed joyfully.

Natasha turned to Andrew with a playful pout. โ€œBut whatโ€™s next? Mr. Lloyd, you need to find a way for us to survive.โ€

Andrewโ€™s eyes narrowed. โ€œThe next step, naturally, is to find a way to take down Northern District.โ€

Natasha frowned. โ€œNorthern District is powerful, and they have Finley of the Hidden Dragons stirring up trouble. Even if Mr. Garner and I join forces, our chances of winning a war against them are slim. Besides, West End has always been neutral. I donโ€™t want to break the status quo by striking first.โ€

Andrew wasnโ€™t surprised by this conservative response. Getting her to launch an offensive was impossible, so he smiled. โ€œThere are many ways to take down Northern Districtโ€”it doesnโ€™t necessarily mean going to war with them directly.โ€

โ€œMr. Lloyd, do you have other methods in mind?โ€ Dylan asked eagerly.

Natasha listened intently, her expression uncertain. If this pretty boy were truly that incredible and could find a way to destroy Atlasโ€™s Northern District, she would willinglyโ€ฆ well, that was implied.
