Chapter 270

โ€œYes! Both my legs are broken! I want Andrew dead!โ€ Harvey screamed into the phone.

A long silence followed before Ian, the Weller family elder, spoke hoarsely. โ€œMr. Weller, you fool. Andrew is at least a junior grandmaster! I warned you not to provoke him recklessly. Why didn't you listen?โ€

โ€œI never provoked him! He showed up, ruined my plans, and broke my legs!โ€ Harvey snarled.

Ian sighed. โ€œItโ€™s too late. Return to the Weller residence and get your legs treated. As for Andrew, with a senior grandmaster in seclusion, Iโ€™m the only one left, and Iโ€™m not confident facing him.โ€

Harvey was stunned by Ianโ€™s reluctance. His face twisted with rage. โ€œAs family head, I order you to kill him! Do you hear me?โ€

Ian replied coldly, โ€œTed and I exist to ensure the Weller familyโ€™s survival. Weโ€™re not here to help you bully people and pursue women. We warned you about Andrew, but you wouldnโ€™t listen. You brought this upon yourself!โ€

He hung up, dismissing Harveyโ€™s authority. Harvey stared at the phone in disbelief before smashing it. After cursing Ian, he ordered his men to take him home for treatment.

Back at the Stevens family residence, Douglas hosted a formal dinner to thank Andrew. Raising his glass, he said, โ€œAndy, youโ€™ve helped us tremendously. This is the least I can do to show our gratitude!โ€

Andrew asked the elderly man to sit down and replied earnestly, โ€œMr. Stevens Senior, please donโ€™t be so formal. Youโ€™ve been kind to me, and itโ€™s only right that I repay it.โ€

โ€œAndy, compared to what youโ€™ve done for us, my past kindness was insignificant,โ€ Douglas said, waving his hand. He sighed heavily. โ€œYou and Christie were perfect for each other, yet things ended up like thisโ€ฆโ€

Douglas loved his granddaughter Christina and was proud of her, but her excessive pride had ruined everything. While he didnโ€™t know exactly who Andrew was, he knew he was extraordinary. He had arranged Christinaโ€™s engagement to Andrew, hoping to secure a powerful ally for Stevens Corporation and his granddaughterโ€™s future. To his regret, Christina had squandered this opportunity.

โ€œGrandpa, donโ€™t blame yourself. This was all my doingโ€”Iโ€™ll take responsibility,โ€ Christina said, her emotions in turmoil.
