Chapter 265

Christina gritted her teeth. "We can't match the Weller family in a fight. Our only option is to stall Harvey until the family representative arrives."

A loud bang echoed as her office door was kicked open. Harvey strode in, a smirk playing on his lips, followed by over a dozen Weller enforcers.

"Christie, my dear fiancรฉe," Harvey said, his voice menacing despite the gentle expression. "I can't wait for our wedding!"

Christina took a deep breath and met his gaze. "Harvey, whatever was between us is over. If you're a man, stop these desperate tactics. Tell me what you want."

Harvey sneered. "Over? Convenient. After my investment, you think you can just end it? What about my reputation?"

"I never asked for anything from you or your family," Christina replied, struggling to control her anger. "What exactly did you invest in me?"

Harvey declared shamelessly, "I don't care. The Stevens family owes us. Show some sincerity, or don't blame me for getting nasty."

Leroy exploded. "Have you no shame? We owe your family? Why don't you just rob us outright, you piece of trash!"

Harvey kicked Leroy, sending him crashing to the ground. "Idiot! Who do you think you are? I tolerated you for Christie, but now? I can end you in a second!" He then spat contemptuously on Leroy's face.

"Leroy, are you alright?" Irene cried, anguish in her voice. "Harvey, you're a monster! You'll pay for this!"

Irene's curses were silenced by Harvey's cold glare. Tears streamed down her face as she trembled.

Christina shook with rage, feeling humiliated. This wasn't the first time Harvey had beaten and humiliated Irene and Leroy, but she was always powerless to stop him. She'd thought she could handle his thuggish behavior, but her plans were useless against the Weller family's brute force.

Harvey smirked. "Christie, I know you hate me. But I don't careโ€”I want to possess you. Once I have you and Stevens Corporation, winning your heart will be inevitable!"

Harvey laughed triumphantly. The Weller enforcers wore expressions of contempt, certain of their ability to crush the small family business.

"Just tell me what it will take for you to leave our family alone," Christina shouted, her eyes red with desperation.
