Chapter 243  Andrew asked, “Did the Weller family give any explanation for Kane’s death?”  Francesca smiled awkwardly and said, “Harvey told the media himself that his father died from overwork.”  Andrew snorted. “Overwork, huh? What a convenient excuse. I bet the real cause of Kane’s death has something to do with him.”  Francesca stared at him, shocked. “No way. You don’t actually think Harvey had anything to do with his father’s death, do you?”  Andrew raised an eyebrow. “Why is that so hard to believe?”  Francesca shook her head. “It just doesn’t seem likely. Harvey’s still the son of the Weller family head. If his father’s death were his doing, Harvey would be a monster.”  Andrew scoffed. “It’s easy enough to figure out how Kane died. But since it’s not my business, I’m not interested in looking into it. However, one thing is clear–once Kane is gone, the Weller family will fall into Harvey’s hands.”  He continued, “So, Harvey’s the biggest beneficiary of Kane’s death. Some people will do anything for power, even if it means sacrificing family.”  Francesca shuddered, then said, “Besides the funeral, the Weller family has another big event coming up. They’ve sent invitations to all the major figures in Jayrodale.”  Andrew sneered. “Don’t tell me Harvey plans to take over as head of the Weller family right after his father’s death.”  Francesca’s face twitched. “That’s exactly it.”  In the hospital’s intensive care unit, the Stevens family also received the news.  Irene clapped her hands, pleased. “Good riddance! He died fast, and that’s just what he deserved!”  Leroy laughed coldly. “I always knew Kane wouldn’t last. It looks like Harvey’s just an orphan  now.”  Christina frowned. “You guys shouldn’t talk like that.”  Leroy replied, “Christie, this is a cause for celebration! Why are you so upset?”  Christina sighed. “Even though Kane’s dead, Harvey’s about to take over as the head of the Weller family.”  Irene snorted. “So what? Stevens family’s skilled martial artists have already arrived in Jayrödale. If that bastard Harvey dares even lay a hand on the Stevens family, he’ll be digging  his own grave!”  Christina shook her head. “It’s not that simple. Stevens family’s skilled martial artists may have arrived, but Harvey can now command the Weller family’s top fighters. I’m worried our people might not be enough to stop them.”  Leroy dismissed her concern. “Christie, you’re overthinking this and being pessimistic. Our fighters have guaranteed our safety. We have nothing to fear from the Weller family.”  Irene added excitedly, “That’s right, Christie! You’ve seen those two experts. They’ve already said they’ll handle the Weller family anytime. Harvey doesn’t stand a chance against them.”  Christina smiled. Thinking about it, she agreed.  She had seen the two experts from the Stevens family, and they definitely carried themselves with authority. While they might not crush the Weller family completely, they were more than capable of preventing the Weller family from bullying the Stevens family.  Taking a deep breath, Christina said, “Alright, let’s go pay our respects to the Weller family. And while we’re at it, let’s settle our score with them once and for all.”
