Tiana covered her mouth and laughed. โMr. Yates, thereโs nothing wrong with you thinking that way.โ
Due to Andrewโs rise to power, all of Blumedale was in uproar. Anyone with any status rushed to the Gabo Creek Chamber of Commerce to offer congratulations. Even neighboring cities and gangs throughout Gabo Creek province sent representatives to make appearances.
Everyone was bustling about, except for Andrew himself, the main character. He was hiding in Serenity Villa, not wanting to deal with anything. As a result, those who came to congratulate him waited eagerly for ages but could not get a meeting with him.
Andrew naturally had this kind of prestige now. If he wanted to show his face, he would make an appearance. If he did not want to show his face, then even if the king himself came calling, he would not give them any respect.
Chantelle was already prepared and could leave for Terror Town, her hometown, at any time. She was just waiting for Andrew to finish his business in Blumedale.
Just then, Luna drove alone to Serenity Villa. Her arrival was calm, but her presence carried an undeniable pressure.
Aspen, Francesca, Lauren, and Chantelle all looked tense and wary of her.
Luna headed directly toward the main entrance of Serenity Villa. โIโm here to see Andrew.โ
Aspen said coldly, โMs. Phelan, if you have something to say, you can say it right here.โ
Luna suddenly smirked and lifted Aspenโs chin with one finger. โYou must be Aspen Stevens, from Bridgefields, right?โ
Aspen stiffened but answered, โYes. Do you have something to say to me, Ms. Phelan?โ
Luna looked down at her for a long while, making Aspen uncomfortable. Then, she said slowly, โYouโre quite protective of your man. Do you really like him that much?โ
Aspenโs face flushed red, but her answer was firm. โOf course I do. How could I not?โ
Luna chuckled. โRelax. Iโm not here to stir up trouble. I just came to pay a visit to the so-called King of Gabo Creek.โ
Aspen still did not look convinced.
From the second floor, Andrewโs voice drifted down. โLet Ms. Phelan in. Itโs fine.โ
Only then did Aspen reluctantly step aside.
As Luna passed Lauren, Laurenโs voice was cold. โMs. Phelan, we keep to ourselves, but if anything ever happens to our man and weโre left widows, then we wonโt hold back. Without him, weโd have nothing to lose.โ
In the past, Luna would have scoffed at such words. But now, she found something different in Lauren and the others. After watching them carefully, she let out a slow breath.
โAndrew has done well. Heโs trained you all until youโre as sharp as special forces soldiers in my own unit,โ she admitted.
Upstairs, she found Andrew lounging on the balcony, basking in the sunlight.
โMs. Phelan, have a seat,โ he said casually, without even looking up. Next to him, a cauldron hissed and smoked.
He was refining something.
Luna glanced around and realized there was not even a chair for her. She was immediately annoyed, but having experienced Andrewโs attitude before, she was not too surprised.
โWhat are you refining? What grade?โ she asked with interest.
Andrew did not look up. โNo grade. Just some powders for special use.โ
Lunaโs curiosity grew. โWhat kind of powders? Can you tell me?โ
She had always been eager to learn about alchemy, an area she did not understand.
Andrew smiled, โNothing I canโt tell you. Iโm just refining aphrodisiacs and sedatives that temporarily prevent people from gathering their energy!โ
Lunaโs face reddened as she sneered. โAphrodisiacs? Andrew, you really donโt waste your time on anything proper, do you?โ
Andrew tapped his temple. โItโs still medicine, and it has plenty of uses. Why is it improper just because it makes you uncomfortable?โ
Luna was speechless and wanted to say something. However, she did not want to get tangled up with Andrew over such a pointless issue.
She changed the subject and asked, โYou defeated Gustavo, so your current strength should be close to martial emperor level, right?โ
Andrew shrugged. โPretty much. But if it really came to a fight, I wouldnโt fear a martial emperor either.โ
