Chapter 2117

โ€œReal deal, no fakes!โ€ Andrew shrugged, looking calm as Eric stared at him with his mouth wide open.

โ€œOtherwise, what did you think made me this badass?โ€

Eric sneered. โ€œThere are at least a thousand people in this world who want to claim Reginald as their father. Youโ€™re just another shameless brat with thicker skin than the restโ€ฆ I can see right through your faรงade!โ€

Andrew raised a brow. โ€œSo you really donโ€™t believe me?โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t!โ€ Eric shot back stubbornly. โ€œIf I did, that would make me your son!โ€

Reginaldโ€™s only child, the royal heir of the Lloyd family. Eric believed Andrew did not deserve that honor. However, his eyes widened as he saw Andrew start unbuttoning his shirt.

โ€œWhat are you doing?โ€ Eric asked, panic creeping into his voice.

Andrew bared his chest as he stepped closer. โ€œDidnโ€™t you say you donโ€™t believe me? Iโ€™ll make you believe.โ€

Ericโ€™s face flushed with humiliation as his thoughts spiraled.

Was Andrew about to prove himself, or was he planning something far worse?

โ€œIโ€™m telling you right now, Iโ€™m not into that. Put your shirt back on! You like women, stop messing around with this nonsense!โ€

Andrewโ€™s expression darkened with a line of exasperation across his face. โ€œRelax. No matter how desperate I get, I wouldnโ€™t touch you. Look, see it now? Proof enough of the Lloyd familyโ€™s dragon bloodline?โ€

Eric froze as his eyes locked on the Blood-Eyed Black Dragon tattoo on Andrewโ€™s chest. His eyes widened, and when he looked back up, it was as if he was seeing Andrew for the first time.

Andrew buttoned his shirt and shrugged. โ€œI told you my background is amazing. You just kept running your mouth. Now, as your older brother, I order you to chase after Mr. Thornton and give him a proper farewell. Then, youโ€™re coming back with me to Blumedale.โ€

Ericโ€™s expression twisted with conflict. He had not expected Andrew to really have such an impressive background.

Andrew could have been lying, but the tattoo on his chest was undeniable. The guy really was like a phoenix in the sky, a leviathan in the deep, something beyond reach.

Eric muttered, โ€œFine, I admit youโ€™re impressive. But my personal business is none of yours.โ€

He turned his head, already back to being stubborn.

Andrewโ€™s brows furrowed. โ€œDo you even realize how much it meant for Mr. Thornton to forgive you? Eric, when you were blinded by rage, you tried to kill him. You actually stabbed himโ€ฆ Do you understand what that means? If I were him, I wouldโ€™ve killed you on the spot without hesitation.โ€

Ericโ€™s voice rose sharply. โ€œSo what, you plan to punish me in his place? Go ahead then! If youโ€™ve got the guts, finish me off right now!โ€

Andrewโ€™s eyes turned cold. โ€œAre you seriously throwing a tantrum with me? Do you think I wonโ€™t lay a hand on you?โ€

Eric laughed bitterly. โ€œDonโ€™t forget what we are to each other, Andrew. Who are you to punish me? You donโ€™t really think Iโ€™m your little brother, do you?โ€

Andrewโ€™s tone was flat. โ€œMr. Thornton asked me to look after you, and I gave him my word. Iโ€™ll do exactly that. You donโ€™t have to see yourself as my younger brother, fine. But at least go and say goodbye to him. Surely thatโ€™s not too much to ask.โ€

Eric ground his teeth. โ€œI donโ€™t want to!โ€

Andrewโ€™s temper finally flared. โ€œFine, donโ€™t then! But you know what kind of people the Basoriaโ€™s Assassinsโ€™ Guild are. If he dies there, all for the person you canโ€™t let go of, then itโ€™ll be too late for regrets!โ€

Ericโ€™s face finally shifted, though just slightly.

Andrew snorted. โ€œGo and say goodbye already. We still need to head back to Gabo Creek. Eric, face your own heart. A real man making mistakes isnโ€™t the end of the world. What matters is having the guts and the resolve to make it right, even if it costs your life. Thatโ€™s what makes a true man.โ€

Eric opened his mouth but said nothing. At last, he moved his feet and chased after Jeromeโ€™s direction.

Andrew watched his back with a faint smile. โ€œThought I couldnโ€™t handle you, huh?โ€

He pulled out his phone and scrolled casually, smirking. The McDaniel family of Sunstrand had just issued a citywide bounty on him.

The price, though, was laughably cheap, only 50 million.

He put away his phone and yawned. What could the Sunstrand McDaniel family do to him!

Meanwhile, several miles away, Eric finally caught up to Jerome.
