Francesca laughed. โ€œCome on, Shiloh, letโ€™s have a snowball fight.โ€

Shilohโ€™s eyes lit up. โ€œYes, yes! Iโ€™ll take on all three of you alone!โ€

The four girls ran off playing, leaving only Joe and Andrew standing across from each other.

Eric let out a dramatic cough, glancing around with exaggerated annoyance. โ€œDamn it, once again, Iโ€™m just the useless third wheel here. Well, gentlemen, itโ€™s about that time. For the sake of the beautiful lady, youโ€™d better fight this out and see who wins.โ€

Andrew said flatly, โ€œShut your mouth!โ€

Eric snorted coldly and walked away.

Joe said calmly, โ€œAndrew, what do you want?โ€

Andrew smiled. โ€œThatโ€™s a question I should be asking you, donโ€™t you think?โ€

Joeโ€™s face turned ice cold. โ€œI havenโ€™t interfered in your conflict with the Driscoll family. Andrew, I just want to find a peaceful place to live with Master Shiloh where no one will bother us.โ€

Andrew narrowed his eyes. โ€œAnd what if I donโ€™t allow it?โ€

Joe replied, โ€œThen I might have no choice but to offend you.โ€

Andrew sneered. โ€œYou trying to take me on is like a moth throwing itself at a flame.โ€

Joe shook his head. โ€œFor Master Shiloh, I fear nothing, not even death.โ€

Andrew gave a mocking click of his tongue. โ€œHow touching! For the woman you love, youโ€™re willing to risk everything, even be shattered to pieces, right?โ€

Joeโ€™s voice hardened, โ€œIโ€™ve never hidden how I feel about Master Shiloh. Andrew, I havenโ€™t interfered with you, nor have I hurt your interests, so I donโ€™t see why you think you have the right to question me.โ€

Andrewโ€™s smile turned sharp, โ€œShiloh carries two incurable diseases. Have you even considered that?โ€

Joe answered firmly, โ€œOf course I have. Thatโ€™s exactly why I plan to take her away from Blumedale, to Goldridge, and later to the Advanced Medical Institute to find treatment.โ€

Andrew scoffed. โ€œThe Advanced Medical Institute doesnโ€™t have the ability to cure Shiloh.โ€

Joeโ€™s tone did not waver. โ€œThen Iโ€™ll take her across the country, travel the world with her. And if no one can cure her, then Iโ€™ll take her away to live quietly in the countryside, and Iโ€™ll care for her for the rest of her life.โ€

Andrew chuckled. โ€œMr. Driscoll, you certainly make your obsession sound noble. Very well, if Shiloh chooses you willingly, I wonโ€™t interfere. But I must warn youโ€ฆ Her true identity is still covered in mystery, and many want her for her secret of agelessness. Joe, do you really think you can protect her?โ€

Joeโ€™s answer was firm. โ€œIโ€™m not weak. Iโ€™ll only grow stronger in the future, and I still have the Driscoll family behind me. Protecting her wonโ€™t be an issue.โ€

Andrew snorted. โ€œWhat a fool. Anyway, I donโ€™t have time to waste arguing with you. But thereโ€™s one thing I need to tell you.โ€

Joeโ€™s eyes hardened. โ€œIf you plan to use me to threaten the Driscoll family and force them to bow to you, then forget it. I wonโ€™t cooperate. Iโ€™d rather die.โ€

Andrew shook his head with indifference. โ€œYes, using you to threaten Maurice would be an effective strategy, but Iโ€™m not that low. What I need to tell you is about your origin. You may not be a Driscoll at all. Your real father is someone else.โ€

Joe froze, his guard rising.

Andrew added, โ€œIf you want the truth, ask your mother, Mia. Thatโ€™s all Iโ€™ll say.โ€

With that, Andrew turned into the snowstorm and left alone. And with his departure, the full-scale assault on the
