Chapter 1967
โAlso, itโs not a small amount eitherโฆ Itโs over ten billion!โ Andrewโs expression remained as calm as still water as he stated this matter-of-factly.
Ronald snorted, โI can return the money exactly as it was.โ
Andrew waved his hand dismissively. โNo need! I have a habit: money spent stays spent.โ
Ronald narrowed his eyes and sneered. โAndy, youโre forcing me into a corner. Well, I have a rule too. Moneyโs great, but life is more important. If I donโt want to do something, no one can make me.โ
Andrew replied with detached calm, โRonald, think about it again. In this world, there are some things you might not want to do, but you donโt get a choice.โ
Ronald gave a harsh laugh. โAndrew, should I take that as a threat? Are you out of your mind? Iโm the Dragon King of Blumedaleโs underworld, the Onyx Dragon King. If youโre trying to play gangster games with me, youโre in way over your head.โ
His anger flared up instantly. He could not believe that this punk actually dared to threaten him.
Did Andrew think he was some pushover?
Andrewโs gaze hardened. โSo what youโre saying is, weโre done talking?โ
Ronald snorted, chin raised. โSorry. Iโve got my own problems.โ
Andrew grew impatient. โJust tell me if we can talk this through or not.โ
Ronald exploded in frustration, โNo! Screw this: You want to get yourself killed, and Iโm not playing along. Thatโs it!โ
Andrew smiled. โAaron, and everyone else, please step aside a bit.โ
Aaron was confused, not knowing what Andrew intended to do. Nonetheless, he instinctively stepped back two paces, moving away from Ronald.
The others also retreated from the office.
Ronald sneered coldly, โWhat? Are you going to try to intimidate me, Mr. Lloyd? Letโs not pretend Iโm afraid of you. My guys are downstairs. Just one call from me andโฆโ
He did not even finish his sentence.
Andrew had already made his move. He was quick like lightning, shoving the massive desk aside and lunging forward. Ronald barely caught a blur of movement before his neck exploded with pain, feeling like it was about to snap.
He was utterly terrified, wondering how Andrew could be so fast and so strong.
Ronald was, after all, a formidable martial king. Yet at this moment, with his neck gripped by Andrew, he felt like nothing more than a torn rag doll.
Ronaldโs body hit the wall hard, blood spraying from his nose and mouth. He coughed violently, terror in his eyes. โYโYou already have the power of a martial saint? Thatโs impossible!โ
Andrew withdrew his hand, his smile ice-cold. โRonald, nowโฆ can you handle my job or not?โ
Ronald nodded frantically, not even bothering to wipe the blood from his face. โYes, of course I can! Andy, what are you saying? Itโs just a small matter. Iโll get it done perfectly.โ
His sudden cooperation was night and day compared to moments earlier. Aaron stood frozen, swallowing hard, the shock in his chest as deep as Ronaldโs.
A martial saint was someone beyond the rules entirely. One man like that could wipe out every underworld power in Blumedale.
At this point, resistance was pointless, and it was better to just obey.
Andrew settled back into his seat with leisurely composure. Aaron did not hesitate for a second and immediately stepped forward. โMr. Lloyd, Iโve already tracked down Walterโs whereabouts. When do you need the information?โ
Andrew gave a thin smile. โAaron, are you joking? I told you to find him, so of course, the sooner, the better. Now tell me every single detail, not one word missing. I want to send that bastard straight to hell.โ
