The owner of Aroma Exchange was none other than Zachary, a ruthless figure ranked ninth on the Underworld Index. However, he usually left the daily management to his personal favorite, Ruth.
When Luna and Leslie arrived, the entire restaurant fell silent. All eyes turned their way, filled with awe and wild admiration.
Someone gasped, โOh my, itโs Ms. Phelan! Sheโs so unrealโฆ so stunning!โ
โYouโre insane for crushing on her. Do you have a death wish?โ
Another chimed in, โGet real. Sheโs not just a military commander. Sheโs a young general with once-in-a-generation martial talent. Everything about her is perfect. Youโre just being delusional.โ
The person sighed. โIf Luna looked at me just once, Iโd gladly give up 20 years of my life.โ
Luna ignored her admirersโ gaze and the excited whispers around her. Her expression remained as cold as ice, and she headed straight upstairs with Leslie.
Wearing a bright red dress, Ruth hurried over to greet them, โGeneral, youโre here!โ
Luna did not even look at her. She just gave an indifferent acknowledgement and said, โGet Zachary out here.โ
Ruth looked apologetic. โGeneral, Iโm sorry but Zac just stepped out!โ
Lunaโs expression remained blank. โLying to my face isnโt wise. Iโll ask one more time. Get Zachary out here, or Iโll just tear this place down myself.โ
Ruth flinched, her face going pale. Without another word, she turned and ran off to get him.
Moments later, Zachary showed up, his face clearly tense. He asked, โMs. Phelan, what brings you here?โ
Luna was already seated. Her long legs, wrapped in tall leather boots, kicked up on the coffee table, commanding the space with intimidating ease.
Leslie remained standing behind her, always ready to serve.
โSit down. I have a few questions for you.โ
Her tone left no room for argument.
Zacharyโs expression hardened. If it had been anyone else, he would have smacked them across the room by now. However, Luna was not just anyone. He knew better than to test her, so he sat down obediently.
Luna looked him dead in the eyes. โTell me everything you know about Andrew.โ
Zachary narrowed his eyes, but he quickly shook his head. โSorry. I barely know the guy. Iโve got nothing to tell you.โ
Luna smirked. โDo you think I came here without doing my homework? Zachary, youโre a real man; youโve served in the military before. So Iโm giving you a bit of respect and talking this through nicely. But if you donโt appreciate that, I have no problem breaking both legs before we continue this chat.โ
Zachary let out a low snort. โI do know Andrew, but if you think youโre getting information out of me, think again.โ
Luna smiled faintly. โSo, youโre not afraid to die?โ
Zachary answered firmly. โOf course, Iโm afraid. But there are people and things that matter more to me than my life.โ
Luna asked, โLike Andrew?โ
Zachary nodded without hesitation. โExactly. I wonโt say a single word about him. Even if you kill me, I guarantee youโll get nothing from me.โ
Luna did not respond right away. She simply raised her gloved hand.
Immediately, Leslie stepped forward. Then, she grabbed Ruth by the hair despite her screams and dragged her over. With a sharp click, she pulled a pistol from her waistband and pressed it straight to Ruthโs forehead.
Zacharyโs face twisted with rage. โMs. Phelan, what the hell are you doing?โ
Luna remained expressionless. โYou have two options. Talk, or watch your womanโs brains paint the floor.โ
Zacharyโs fury flared, but he did not explode. He knew full well that Luna could kill him in a second.
Ruth was shaking, tears streaming down her face as she begged, โZacโฆ pleaseโฆ save meโฆ Help me!โ
Zachary clenched his jaw, his heart torn, before finally turning his head away. โLuna, do it then. But Iโll remember this. Either kill me now, or you can wait for my revenge!โ
