Chapter 141
"I was trying to offer friendly advice," Christina said, "but if you won't listen, forget I said anything. I understand you may lack access to Mr. Yates, which is why you're pretending not to need his help."
"Don't worry," she added. "You helped me once, so even if you can't get Mr. Yates to speak for you, I'll stand up for you if Mr. Huxley causes trouble."
Andrew chuckled dismissively. "That won't be necessary. Stevens Corporation should focus on its own problems."
Irene snorted. "What problems? Our company is thriving. Don't you dare spread rumors."
Andrew offered a cold smile. "From what I hear, Harvey's drowning in debt and barely afloat. Stevens Corporation's investment is probably going down the drain. If I were you, I'd try to recover that money now to minimize losses."
"That's bullshit!" Irene snapped. "Andrew, just admit you're jealous. Harvey just confirmed everything's on track. Once the paperwork comes through, Stevens Corporation will be rolling in profits."
Leroy boasted, "Andrew, that Porsche you borrowed? I'll be buying one of my own soon. Once Harvey pays out our investment returns, I'll have millions. Sweet deal."
Andrew glanced at Christina. "Ms. Stevens, your family really is something else," he remarked with disdain before leaving.
Leroy said smugly, "Christie, look! He's rattledโthat's why he ran off!"
Christina turned to Leroy with a blank expression. "The only one who should be embarrassed is you. Who told you his Porsche was borrowed? I saw him buy it today myself."
Leroy's jaw dropped. "He bought it? How does a gold digger like him have hundreds of thousands lying around?" His previous joy vanished, replaced by burning envy.
Meanwhile, on the East Side, Tony hadn't slept in two days. His trusted aide rushed in, an excited smile on his face.
"Mr. Madden Senior, great news! We've finally cured Mr. Madden!"
Tony perked up. "Really?"
"Absolutely. Mr. Madden is sedated now, and Mr. Eslinger promised to return him to full health within three days."
Tony clenched his fists. "Excellent! This is perfect! Quickly, invite Mr. Eslinger and Mr. Rhodes over. I need to thank them personally."

Moments later, Michael entered, wearing an immaculate white suit, white leather shoes, and gold-rimmed glasses. His polished appearance was offset by a hint of sleaziness. Beside him stood an older man draped in a black cloak, his face stern, his aura cold and unsettling.
"Mr. Rhodes, Mr. Eslinger, thank you both so much for helping with Juan's condition," Tony greeted them warmly.
Michael smiled politely. "Don't mention it, Mr. Madden Senior."
The elderly man in black remained stoic. He said, "Let's skip the pleasantries, Mr. Madden Senior. I have a question: who was responsible for Juan's condition? I'm surprised to find someone so skilled in ancient medicine here in little Jayrodale."
