Chapter 138
Christina felt utterly helpless. Even her position as CEO of Stevens Corporation offered little protection against such shameless thugs. She hesitated to call Harvey, unwilling to appear weak and reliant. Yet, she watched helplessly as her mother and brother were assaulted, their crucial supply deal dissolving before her eyes. Stevens Corporation had suffered a humiliating defeat on all fronts.
As Conan reached the door, Andrew, who had remained silent, blocked his path. "Mr. Huxley, you can't assault people and walk away," Andrew stated.
Conan scoffed, raising an eyebrow. "And who are you? If you don't want to be hurt, move."
Andrew met his gaze unflinchingly. "I'm the other project manager. You're free to leave our business, but attacking people here crosses a line."
Conan erupted in exaggerated laughter. "Your turf? I crossed a line? That's hilarious! I don't even care about Stevens Corporation. Who are you to challenge me?"
"I'm giving you one more chance," Andrew growled. "Apologize and pay their medical expenses, or face the consequences."
Conan's face darkened. Irene and Leroy, having managed to rise, looked disheveled.
"This idiot doesn't know what he's getting into," Leroy muttered through gritted teeth. "He's asking to be killed."
"Andrew, let it go," Christina pleaded. "Let them leave. We'll find another supplier."
Conan smirked. "You hear that? Even Stevens Corporation won't mess with me. Who do you think you are?"
His bodyguards glared at Andrew, but Andrew stood firm. "Stevens Corporation is Stevens Corporation. I'm different. You attacked people on my turf, so you'll follow my rules. Otherwise, everyone will think they can walk all over our South City project."
Conan's patience snapped. "You're making this a big deal? Fine! Take him down!" he barked at his men. "Who the hell does this guy think he is? I'm the CEO of Thrive Enterprise! Get real!"
Christina and the others watched in shock as the bodyguards lunged at Andrew. Instantly, all five men were flung back as if struck by a wrecking ball.

Their bodies slammed to the ground; none could rise, writhing and groaning in pain. Conan's smug grin vanished, replaced by stunned disbelief. He stared at his men, sprawled like broken dolls, stammering, "H-How dare you hurt my men? You're dead! Do you hear me? You're dead!"
Sweating, Conan frantically searched for his phone to call for backup.
Andrew remained impassive as he stepped forward and slapped Conan hard enough to wrench his jaw.
"You little punk! How dare you hit me!" Conan roared, his face contorted. "I'll kill you for this!" He couldn't believe this nobody had not only subdued his bodyguards but dared to strike him. He would not tolerate this humiliation.
"Really? I'd like to see you try," Andrew sneered, delivering several more stinging slaps.
