Chapter 1019: More Interested
Little Bunny drove recklessly down the street, narrowly avoiding collisions. She arrived at Wold Castle within ten minutes, leaving her car haphazardly before rushing inside.
The foyer was empty. She hurried to Theodore's room, but it was vacant.
"Where is he?" she asked.
"He just left," the servant replied.
Hearing an engine, Little Bunny ran outside and saw Theodore's black car speeding away. She immediately called him.
"I'm back! Don't leave yet!" she exclaimed.
"It's been over a minute," Theodore said, checking his watch.
"Theodore!" Little Bunny cried.
"Next time, then. I have to go," he replied before hanging up. He had urgent business in the capital with Oscar. As he urged his driver to hurry, the driver noticed a car following closely.
"Sir, it's Madam's vehicle!"
Recognizing her car, Theodore ordered his driver to ignore her and speed up. Little Bunny, determined to end their marriage, accelerated in pursuit.
When she nearly caught up, Theodore's driver slammed on the brakes. Little Bunny reacted similarly, resulting in a collision.
The impact caused Little Bunny to hit her head on the steering wheel. The airbag deployed, leaving her momentarily dizzy. Theodore, in the car ahead, also bumped his head. He looked back at her dented car. "Does this woman have a death wish?!" he exclaimed.
The driver also exited the vehicle. They had been trying to avoid a child crossing the road and were rear-ended. After ensuring the child was unharmed, he joined Theodore in assessing the damage.
Theodore strained to open Little Bunny's car door. Little Bunny felt groggy but saw him struggling.
"Little Bunny!" he called.
She didn't respond.
"Go get the hammer," Theodore told the driver.
The driver retrieved a hammer. Theodore smashed Little Bunny's car window. She felt glass falling around her.
He then unbuckled her seatbelt and pulled her from the car, her body scratched by the broken glass. She didn't cry out; she only wanted to keep Theodore. He carried her to his sedan. His car was undamaged, and neither he nor the driver was injured.
"Go to the hospital," Theodore instructed the driver.
"Go to the Civil Affairs Bureau!" Little Bunny exclaimed.
Her injuries appeared superficial. Theodore, seeing the blood on her, exclaimed, "Little Bunny, are you sick? You don't have to go this far for my attention!"
"Go to the Civil Affairs Bureau," she insisted. "After the divorce, I'll go to the hospital myself."
Theodore, exasperated, told the driver, "Go to the Civil Affairs Bureau."
He fulfilled her wish. Little Bunny breathed a sigh of relief. Theodore messaged Oscar, explaining his delay. Oscar, understanding Theodore's personality, didn't question it.
Theodore looked at Little Bunny again. She felt uncomfortable and asked for a tissue. He threw a box at her.
She used the tissue and the nearby mineral water to clean the blood from her forehead. The water stung, causing her to cry out. Theodore remained cold. She removed most of the bloodstains.
Theodore looked away disdainfully, thinking actors were adept at disguising themselves.
They arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau. Theodore exited first, followed by Little Bunny, who kept her head down, partially concealed by a cap.
A staff member was waiting. "Mr. Wold," he said, leading them through a private passage. Theodore had arranged this beforehand.
The officials were noticeably nervous.
The official explained the procedure. Little Bunny produced the necessary paperwork. Theodore watched, impressed by her efficient handling of the divorce proceedings. He found himself unexpectedly more interested in her.
