Kayla could use this opportunity to frame Felicia and be rid of her. Alternatively, it offered the perfect chance to escape with the map and reach the mysterious island. Who could deny it was fate?

Days passed, and Felicia remained incredibly busy. The clinic thrived; shelves of Panax pseudo-ginthera, scar-removal ointment, and other medicines sold out instantly. Had she not limited customer numbers and purchase quantities, she might have exhausted herself simply producing the medicine. Her coursework posed no challenge; having reviewed the material twice, her photographic memory made it effortless.

Meanwhile, Jupiter Corporation successfully acquired the niche industries vacated by the Fuller family's bankruptcy. Already dominant in gaming, Jupiter Corporation began expanding into other sectors. Within a year or two, it would grow into the powerhouse Felicia remembered as the renowned Jupiter Group. Alverton's tourism development had also officially commenced. Though visitor numbers were initially modest, Felicia was confident of its future popularity.

With so much to manage, Felicia was constantly busy. The upside? She had no time for other concerns.

That evening, Felicia left the college campus and boarded her usual bus. Her timing was impeccable; the bus arrived precisely as she exited. Only rarely did she misjudge, requiring only a short wait. Although her new villa was nearly renovated, she wasn't in a hurry to move, remaining in her rental apartment. Since it was the last bus, there were few passengers.

Mid-journey, the bus stopped abruptly while turning at a traffic-congested intersection. The driver announced an accident ahead. The passengers needed no reminder; the traffic jam was evident. It would take at least an hour to clear.

Felicia decided not to wait and alighted with her backpack. Passing the accident, she unexpectedly saw a familiar figure. Mike Lawson's hair was disheveled, his usual composure lost. His eyes were swollen and red, his hands trembling.

Felicia had always found Mike warm and kind, a gentle presence. He'd even helped her several times, once even teaching Arnold a lesson. But now, Mike was distraught and frenzied, almost out of control as he pummeled a middle-aged man.

From a distance, Felicia heard fragments of words: "daughter," "where." Her heart leaped. Could his daughter be missing?

She hurried over. Her suspicion was confirmed. Mike was demanding furiously, "Where's my daughter? Where did you take her? Tell me, or I'll kill you!" No one should provoke a father who's lost his child.

Mike resembled a feral wolf, ready to tear the man's throat out. The bruised and battered middle-aged man, trembling, wept, "Iโ€”I really don't knowโ€ฆ"
