Chapter 404: Reluctant To Refuse

โ€œHehe! Itโ€™s nothing,โ€ Madelyn laughed like a child, quickly hiding a paper behind her back.

Sebastian was puzzled. What was so mysterious?

โ€œLet me see,โ€ Sebastian said, reaching out.

โ€œDonโ€™t,โ€ Madelyn pouted, stepping back.

Sebastianโ€™s curiosity intensified. โ€œWhat exactly is it?โ€

โ€œUmโ€ฆ Itโ€™s nothing,โ€ Madelyn chuckled, taking another step back.

โ€œIs it really nothing?โ€

โ€œItโ€™s really nothing.โ€

One was curiously inquiring; the other retreated evasively, like a tug-of-war had begun. Sebastian gazed intently at Madelyn, who responded with a playful smirk and silly chuckle, stubbornly refusing to reveal her secret.

Finally, Sebastian lost interest and scoffed coldly. โ€œFine. I donโ€™t want to know anymore.โ€ He turned and left.

โ€œHey! Hey!โ€ Madelyn called out. Why had he given up so quickly?

Madelyn rushed over. โ€œIโ€™ll show you, okay?โ€

Sebastian stopped.

Madelyn obediently showed him what sheโ€™d been hiding. A hint of grievance tinged her voice as she said, โ€œThis is it.โ€

Sebastian took the item and glanced at it. With a grin, he raised an eyebrow. โ€œDo you want to go on a trip?โ€

It was a travel magazine. She had been studying travel routes.

โ€œHehe!โ€ Madelyn chuckled mischievously. โ€œWellโ€ฆ Thatโ€™s something I have in mind. I finally have winter break, so I want to go out and have fun with you. Sebastian, Iโ€™ve been so overwhelmed lately. Between exams and helping manage the company, Iโ€™m practically exhausted. How about you take a few days off to spend time with me? Wouldnโ€™t that be nice?โ€

She acted coyly. Seeing her soft and tender, Sebastian found it impossible to refuse.

After finishing her sentence, Madelyn couldnโ€™t wait. Holding the map, she swiftly ran upstairs.

Sebastian shook his head, a mix of helplessness and amusement. This girlโ€ฆ

Back in her room, Madelyn studied the magazine. โ€œBlallas Island? Loverโ€™s Beach? Pillere? Wow! They all seem so beautiful.โ€

The beautiful landscapes stirred her heart, leaving her momentarily indecisive. Finally, her gaze was captivated by a couple in the magazineโ€”tightly embracing on the shores of Blallas Island. Their image was incredibly picturesque; both were strikingly attractive, their smiles radiant, displaying deep affection.

Madelyn admitted she felt a twinge of envy. โ€œWell, letโ€™s go to Blallas Island!โ€

With that in mind, Madelyn smiled. She began perusing travel guides, preparing for their journey.

Blallas Island, in Intundeos, near the east of the Juset Islands, spanned 5,620 square kilometers. Lush with tropical vegetation, it was a world-renowned tourist destination. Everythingโ€”the seawater, beaches, sunrises and sunsets, the natural environmentโ€”left an indelible impression. It was cherished in the hearts of all visitors.

When Sebastian returned, he found Madelyn engrossed in planning their itinerary. A faint smile crept onto his lips.

A few days later, their journey began. The day was perfect; the sun shone brightly, making winterโ€™s bite unfelt. Madelyn, suitcase in tow, waited with Sebastian at the airport before embarking on their flight to Blallas Island.

Several hours later, the plane landed. They went to their hotel, stored their luggage, and Madelyn brought out her travel guide. Sheโ€™d meticulously listed every activity for their trip.

Ballas Islandโ€™s most captivating feature was undoubtedly its sea. Unspoiled and unpolluted, its beauty was enhanced by the intense sunlight, making the waters exceptionally stunning. This stretch of sea had a beautiful yet haunting name: Devilโ€™s Tears. Despite its name, the sea was incredibly clear and azure. The unclouded sky evoked peace and tranquility.

โ€œWow! This place is truly stunning, just like straight out of a magazine.โ€ Madelyn gasped in awe; the view was breathtaking.

Sebastian, having seen much of the world, wasnโ€™t as visually impacted by the ocean. What captivated him was Madelynโ€™s smileโ€”pure and radiant, like a sunflower basking in a gentle breeze. It was charming and delightful in its simplicity.

โ€œActually, does it matter if we travel?โ€ Sebastianโ€™s heart was filled with contentment at her happiness.

Suddenly, Madelyn called, โ€œSebastian! Can we take a picture together?โ€

He found her standing on the vast coastline, seemingly merging with the scenery. He walked over.

A radiant smile lit up Madelynโ€™s face. โ€œSebastian, do you know why I chose to travel here?โ€

โ€œWhy?โ€ Sebastian asked nonchalantly.

โ€œActually, before coming here, I saw a picture of a couple deeply in love. They took their picture right here. I was so envious, and thatโ€™s why I wanted a photo, too.โ€

After expressing her joy, Madelyn approached a passerby. With a polite smile, she asked, โ€œHello, we would like to take a picture together here. Would you mind helping us?โ€

The passerby, initially surprised, graciously agreed.

โ€œHere you go. Thank you,โ€ Madelyn smiled, handing her DSLR to the passerby. She quickly grabbed Sebastian, and they found a spot with their backs to the sea. Without a word, they posed.

โ€œHow does it look? Does it look good?โ€ Madelyn ran over, brimming with excitement.

The passerby looked at the camera, a smile spreading across his face. โ€œYou two really make a lovely couple.โ€
