Chapter 168 The Lipstick Stain On His Shirt
Madelyn frowned, her tone turning icy. โWhat are you doing here?โ
Harriet chuckled, her eyes holding a meaningful gaze. โWe were socializing just now, and Sebastian got a bit tipsy. Since I was the only one who didnโt drink, I sent him back.โ
โOh.โ Madelyn heaved a sigh of relief. So thatโs how it is.
After taking Sebastian from Harriet, Madelyn gave a slight nod. โI appreciate your help, Ms. Moore.โ
โYouโre welcome. Itโs what I should do,โ Harriet said, her face devoid of emotion, โI was always the one to take Sebastian home whenever he got drunk in the past. Iโm used to it.โ
She made it sound so natural, as if trying to say Sebastian was hers.
Madelyn was slightly annoyed, but there was nothing she could do about it. Iโve brought this upon myself. Itโs all my fault for not appreciating what I have, allowing other women opportunities to take advantage. But I swear this wonโt happen again. Sebastianโs my husband, and I will not allow anyone to get close to him.
โThe past is the past. I sincerely apologize for causing you so much trouble. But from now on, I will take good care of my husband.โ After finishing her sentence, Madelyn gave a faint smile and politely said, โMs. Moore, itโs getting late and I still have to look after Sebastian, so I wonโt be inviting you in for some water. Please be careful on your way home, goodbye.โ
Then, she shut the door in Harrietโs face.
Harriet had wanted to say something but could only frown in displeasure while staring at the tightly shut door.
I thought Iโd be able to provoke her by bringing Sebastian home. But she didnโt seem fazed at all. Looks like sheโs not as foolish as I thought. But sheโs undeniably still a fool!
In the end, Harriet huffed coldly and returned unhappily.
Sebastian was quite tall, so Madelyn really struggled to get him upstairs.
Out of the corner of her eye, she was startled to notice a lipstick mark on Sebastianโs collar.
Her gaze darkened right away. Damn it!
She was infuriated, but not at Sebastian, but at Harriet.
Madelyn was well aware that Sebastian would never have an affair. Harriet was the only one who couldโve done something like this.
Hah, trying to provoke me, are you? Not a chance!
With these thoughts in mind, as soon as Madelyn helped Sebastian upstairs, she undressed him.
Finding that shirt annoying, she decided to discard it, stuffing it into the trash can. Out of sight, out of mind! Ah, this feels greatโฆ
After finally managing to get him inside, she took a careful look at his muscular physique and felt her face flush.
His muscle lines are so perfectโฆ His figure can easily rival those of an international supermodelโฆ No, what am I doing? He needs a bath. Weโll catch a cold sitting in the cold bathtub for too long!
Madelyn had no choice but to peel her gaze away from Sebastianโs muscles. Then, she began to fill the bathtub with water, adding bath gel.
In just a short while, the warm water and foam finally managed to obscure Sebastianโs impressive, captivating physique.
Madelyn finally breathed a sigh of relief. She picked up a towel and began to clean Sebastianโs body.
Sebastian had been completely drunk, practically unconscious. However, upon sensing someone touching him, he couldnโt help but stir awake, his eyes slightly glazed.
To his surprise, Madelynโs delicate face was right before him the moment he opened his eyes.
Sebastian was completely captivated by the sight before him, and before he knew it, he found himself kissing her.
โSebastianโฆMmhโฆโ Madelyn struggled to push him away, intending to say something, but found herself silenced again as he held her head, deepening the kiss.
This is far from enoughโฆ
Sebastian was not in his right mind, only aware that the woman before him was the one he had yearned for over the years. At that moment, the only thought in his mind was to claim her as his own.
I want to claim her, protect her, and cherish her for a lifetime. Iโll never let her go again.
Madelyn had no idea what happened. All she knew was how wildly passionate and aggressive the man who pinned her down in the bathtub was, so domineering she simply couldnโt resist.
After a bout of intense activity, Madelyn was so sore and tired.
Sebastian finally fell into a deep slumber again, and only then did Madelyn manage to move.
She then painstakingly dried Sebastianโs body. Only after that did she, with trembling legs, gingerly help him into bed to sleep.
Probably due to sheer exhaustion, Madelyn fell asleep as soon as she tucked Sebastian in and lay down.
The next day, Madelyn woke up groggily after a good nightโs sleep.
When she opened her eyes, she was met with an incredibly handsome face right before her. In his deep-set eyes, Madelyn saw her own reflection.
โYouโre awake,โ Madelyn asked in a drowsy tone, punctuating her sentence with a yawn and a languid stretch.
She looked just like a soft little kitten, so endearing that one couldnโt help but want to ruffle her hair.
All Sebastian remembered about last night was that he was forced to drink until he dropped by all those cunning businessmen he was socializing with. Moreover, he was preoccupied thinking about Madelyn, and before he knew it, he had one too many.
He couldnโt remember anything that happened after that.
โHmph, youโve got some nerve to ask.โ Madelyn scoffed. Thinking about what happened the previous night, she was still pissed. โYou got drunk last night, and it was Harriet who sent you home.โ
Harriet? Was it not Malcolm or Wesley?
Sebastian frowned in displeasure. Looks like those brats need a lesson.
Madelyn couldnโt help but voice her annoyance. โAlso, when you came back last night, there was a lipstick mark on your clothes. Hmph, who knows what you were up to last nightโฆโ
With that, she turned her back against him with a huff.
Sebastianโs frown deepened. He could only recall drinking the previous night, but beyond that, his memory was a complete blank.
Yet, he distinctly remembered Harriet being the only woman present at the scene.
So this lipstick markโฆ
Sebastian arched his brow.
