Chapter 130 Are You A Devil
"Andy, we are in trouble!"
A young thug rushed into the leisure area of the race course. This place was specifically designed for people to relax and enjoy themselves, and at that moment, Andy was seated right here.
"Andy, there's trouble!" he blurted out breathlessly.
Seeing his frantic state, Andy frowned and huffed disapprovingly, "What's the matter? Don't make a fuss over nothing."
The thug blurted out, "Andy, Tristan's crew suddenly drove onto the track just now!"
"What?" Andy's robust figure shot up in alarm. "Let's go see!"
He hurriedly rushed to the scene, but by then, Tristan's group had already left. Spectators around were murmuring about the commotion, convinced something serious had happened. Andy's heart sank. He felt uneasy.
Sh*t, did something really happen?
Meanwhile, Sebastian and Wesley arrived too. After parking their cars, they swiftly stormed into the race course. They overheard discussions among the bystanders.
"I am sure something's gone wrong. Why else would Tristan's gang leave in a rush?"
"Yeah, Tristan's crew is tight-knit. They wouldn't leave together unless something serious happened."
Even those who were originally planning to race were now hesitant. "Should we still go?" one nervously asked.
Some nearby muttered, "Maybe we should skip this time. I have a bad feeling about this."
"Exactly, maybe next time."
Sebastian furrowed his brow at the chatter. His piercing gaze swept the crowd, not spotting Madelyn. Instead, he noticed Jillian standing there, hands clasped in prayer.
"Please, please, keep Madelyn safe!" she murmured anxiously. Surrounding her were a few individuals tasked with guarding her.
Following that, by some unknown means, he managed to bring Jillian over.
"Mr. Lockhart!" Jillian was shocked to see him.
"Where did Madelyn go?" Sebastian wasted no time with pleasantries.
Jillian was already at her wits' end, and upon seeing Sebastian, she felt as if he was her lifesaver. In a frantic tone, she said, "Madelyn went racing with someone just now! It has been half an hour since they went up the mountain!"
A dark glint flashed across Sebastian's gaze when he heard that. "Did she go with Christopher?"
"No," Jillian said, shaking her head. "Christopher was there initially and wanted to race with Madelyn in the same car, but she refused and randomly picked someone elseโฆ"
Sebastian's face turned grim at this reckless behavior. Is she courting death?
In racing, it was essential to find someone you trust. The reason for having someone in the passenger seat was to prevent the driver from losing control. However, Madelyn picked someone random from the crowd!
At this point, Wesley was curious and continued to inquire, "What is happening now? Why is everyone discussing it?"
Glancing around, Jillian shook her head and innocently replied, "IโI don't know. I just saw Madelyn leave a while ago. Andy started a new race immediately, and just now, several people drove in aggressively. Everyone's saying something's wrong, but I don't know what happenedโฆ"
Finishing her explanation, Jillian looked at Sebastian with concern. "Mr. Lockhart, do you think Madelynโฆ could something have happened to her?"
Sebastian's heart sank at her words. Suddenly, he turned to Wesley and instructed, "Wesley, take her back."
"I am not leaving!" Hearing his words, Jillian refused immediately. "I'll wait here for Madelyn to come back. Please, she agreed to the race because of me."
Seeing her determination, Sebastian didn't argue further. He turned sharply to Wesley. "You should have some friends here, right?"
Wesley, well-connected as always, had plenty of friends nearby. "Yes!" Wesley nodded vigorously.
"Gather a few of them. We are heading up the mountain," Sebastian commanded.
He quickly gathered a few friends. While everyone else was still puzzled about the recent events, Sebastian's car was already in motion.
In the blink of an eye, another batch of cars surged onto the track, especially the leading top-of-the-line Maybach that shot out like lightning.
Everyone stared in awe at the car. "I recognize that car, it is the top limited edition Maybach. There's only one in this world!"
"Oh dear, who is this person?"
In the car, Wesley was scared out of his wits, screaming for his life. "Help! I am going to die, I am going to dieโฆ"
Sebastian was driving terrifyingly fast, and Wesley's screams echoed. It felt as if his soul was about to leave his body.
"What have I gotten myself into? Sebastian, you b*stard, why did you drag me into this?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Sebastian drifted sleekly around a corner.
Wesley immediately screamed in terror, "Oh dear, Sebastian, you are a devil, aren't you?"
At this moment, Sebastian was single-mindedly focused on catching up with Madelyn. He paid Wesley no mind at all.
Meanwhile, following a loud bang, the car was hit from behind once again. Madelyn's body lurched forward, forcing her to accelerate once more. Surprisingly, as she sped up, the car behind her also accelerated wildly! There were even several instances on perilous bends where the car almost lost control and veered off the mountain path.
"Are these people crazy?" Josiah's face turned pale with fright. In a panic, he looked at Madelyn and was surprised to see her unusually calm. She continued to drive the car seriously, her expression solemn and calm. Josiah couldn't help but secretly admire her. How could she be so bold? If I were in her shoes, I would have panicked long ago! Where did this strange woman come from anyway?
However, in reality, Madelyn's heart was lodged in her throat, and she had no time to care about Josiah's thoughts. She only knew she had to shake off those people behind her as quickly as possible.
At this moment, the car was on a sharp bend again. The tires squealed, causing sparks to fly as they scraped against the ground. Madelyn steadied the car, focused again, and floored the accelerator. Even Josiah, an experienced racer, felt like his stomach was churning. He felt like puking.
