Natalie thought about her earlier encounter with Jasmine and sneered. It seemed she had called Jason to complain, which was why he was so eager to call her.

“Hello!” she answered.

“Natalie, it’s me. I’m downstairs at your office. I heard you were picking on Jennifer again today. I’m here to deal with you. You have three minutes, or I’ll create a scene in your office,” Jason threatened boastfully.

Natalie laughed coldly. “Jason, I’ve already cut ties with your family. Jennifer’s the one who’s always bullying others. Think you can teach me a lesson? Dream on.”

She added, “Just wait. I’m coming down, and I won’t hold back anymore.”

Natalie hung up, grabbed her bag, and went downstairs, planning to leave early to meet her eldest brother for dinner tonight.

Natalie quickly reached the first floor. Jason was standing at the door, looking impressive with his handsome features, though not very bright. The Simpson family’s four sons were completely spoiled. Particularly, Nick’s parents didn’t care at all about these four grandsons.

Jason saw Natalie coming down quickly and sneered. “Natalie, you’re fast. Go home and apologize to Jennifer on your knees. Then maybe I’ll forgive you.”

Just then, James, with his remarkable presence, walked in. Natalie beamed and cried, “Big brother, you’re here. I missed you so much.”

Jason laughed angrily. “Natalie, haven’t I told you before? You’re just a foster daughter in our family. Don’t call me big brother when we’re outside. Do you think you’re worthy to miss me?” He stressed, “I’m warning you, don’t call me big brother. I don’t have a vicious sister like you.”

Natalie looked at him as if he were an idiot as she brushed past him and threw herself into James’ embrace. Jason turned around and realized Natalie wasn’t calling him but the man behind him. He remembered what he just said and felt so embarrassed that he wished he could disappear into the floor. But seeing Natalie sweetly call another man ‘big brother’ irritated him as he was supposed to be her biological brother.

“Brother, did you come to pick me up?” Natalie asked happily, holding onto James’ arm.

“Yeah! You promised to have dinner with me tonight. I’ve reserved a table at Irene’s for their special dishes, all your favorites.”

“Hehe… Big brother, you’re the best. I wish my second and third brothers were home, so we could all go together.”

With a gentle smile, James patted her head affectionately. “They know you have left the Simpson family and are not upset with you anymore.”

Natalie knew her second and third brothers were really upset. “I'll wait for them to come back.”

“Yeah! Let’s go. Your second brother knows you started working at the company and sent you a big red envelope. Did you get it?” James asked.

“Haha… I haven’t even checked my phone yet.” Natalie took out her phone, and when she saw seven nines, she was speechless. Her eyes sparkled. “Wow, big brother, that’s a lot.”

“Yeah! Back then, he was upset when you left, because he was afraid you would get bullied if you went back.”

Natalie understood, and her eyes felt a little warm. “Big brother, I know. I know you all love me the most, but I can’t leave yet. There’s something I need to handle. You just watch from the side.”

Jason said, “Hey! Natalie, I’m your biological brother…”

Natalie replied, “No, you’re not my brother! What was the first thing you said when you walked in? I go back and apologize to Jennifer, and then you’ll forgive me?”

“I didn’t do anything wrong, and I’m not going back to apologize to her. You can go ask her if she even dares to get my apology?” added Natalie.

“And also, you mentioned earlier that I’m just your family’s adopted daughter. Sorry, I’m not even that anymore. I’ve signed the severance agreement, and I have no connection to your Simpson family,” added Natalie.

“Jennifer wants to use you to humiliate me and to teach me a lesson. I’ll just make sure she ends up even worse,” added Natalie.

“And besides, you’re just a pawn Jennifer is using against me. I’ll be watching as she destroys you,” added Natalie. Jason’s expression suddenly changed. He had always been bossy and couldn’t tolerate Natalie’s rebellious nature. He said, “Natalie, even though I don’t accept you as my real sister, we’re still born from the same mother…” said Jason. Natalie replied, “Jason, I don’t need your acknowledgment, and I’ll never accept you as my brother. Over the past year, you’ve hit me many times because Jennifer framed me. From now on, whether you live or die is none of my business.”

“Isn’t your whole family very fond of Jennifer? She’s about to give you a gift you’ll never forget,” added Natalie.

Jason cried, “Natalie, you little brat, I told you to go back and apologize to Jennifer…”

“What if she doesn’t?” James stood protectively in front of Natalie.

Jason frowned and asked, “And who are you?”

A hint of coldness flickered in James’ eyes as if he could devour his opponent. Jason felt intimidated by his strong aura and frowned slightly, but he also noticed the hidden murderous intent in his eyes.

James answered, “I’m Natalie’s big brother. Your Simpson family has been framing and bullying her these past two years, and I’ll make sure every score is settled.”

“Tsk, she’s not even your biological sister. Why would you make an enemy of our Simpson family for such a ruthless woman?” Jason doubted he had the guts to oppose the Simpson family.

“Humph! It’s Jennifer who’s ruthless and heartless, but you blind fools can’t see it,” said James.

After saying this, James suddenly raised his fist and punched Jason in the face.

“Ah…” Jason stumbled back a few steps, gritting his teeth and glaring at James. “You hit me?” he yelled.

James’ anger burned in his heart, and his eyes turned sharp and cold. “For the past two years, Natalie has suffered a lot of injustice at your family. This punch is for her.”

He added, “If she hadn’t treated you like family these past two years, do you think you’d still be safe standing here right now?”

Jason smirked. “Natalie, you’re quite something now. You actually found other guys to protect you. Just how much effort did it take to convince these men to help you?” He added, “You’ve got the Simpson family’s blood running in you, and yet you were born with such a lowly spirit, bringing our status down.”

Natalie was taken aback, and her whole body tensed with humiliation. They were siblings, yet he could say such hurtful things.

“Heh…” Natalie walked over and linked her arm with James’. “Big brother, let’s go. Only those with dirty hearts speak so filthily.”

James warned him coldly, “Jason, if I catch you bothering Natalie again, I’ll make the Simpson family disappear from Shagrity.”

James finished his forceful warning and walked away hand in hand with Natalie.

Jason’s gaze was momentarily stunned. No wonder Natalie had the courage to leave the Simpson family—she had someone backing her now.

“Heh… shameless.” Jason pushed his tongue against the cheek that had been hit.

‘Natalie, next time I won’t let you off so easily,’ he thought. For tarnishing the Simpson family’s name, he was determined to send her back to the impoverished town. When he thought about Natalie scheming against him, he vowed he would never forgive her in his lifetime.

Not far away, Easton saw what happened. Watching Jason’s arrogant figure retreat, he turned away with a stern expression.

Following him, Xavier asked, “Where are we going now, Mr. Garcia?”
