It turned out Natalie’s intuition was right. The moment she walked through the door with Luna, she ran into Jennifer, Easton, and Nick, the people she least wanted to see.

Tonight’s business networking event was hosted by the Chambers family, so of course they wouldn’t miss it.

“Natalie, what are you doing here?” Jennifer was the first to notice Natalie, and she couldn’t help but question her, thinking that she had no right to attend tonight’s event.

And more than that, Natalie was wearing the latest dress featured on the cover of a fashion magazine–the very one Jennifer couldn’t get her hands on. Jennifer felt both confused and infuriated that Natalie could have this dress.

Easton noticed Natalie as well, and tonight, she looked absolutely stunning. She wore a simple black strapless gown, with a ring of diamonds around the neckline that set off her delicate skin.

Her long hair was styled up, exuding an air of coolness and elegance, not too showy but radiating a kind of breathtaking luxury.

A flash of awe crossed Easton’s eyes as he found Natalie had really changed.

Seeing Easton’s gaze fall on Natalie, Jennifer was driven mad by jealousy.

Ever since things had fallen apart with Murray, she’d been feeling down for the past few days.

And to make matters worse, the Spencer family had been investigating what happened that day, and she was terrified they’d find out about her involvement with the bodyguards.

Natalie raised an eyebrow and looked at her with a bright, confident smile. “If you can come, why can’t I?”

Jennifer couldn’t hide the disdain in her eyes. “Natalie, do you even know where you are? This is a party hosted by Mr. Claude Chambers for his grandson’s return. It’s also a business networking event."

“I know you want to cling to Easton like before, but you should pick your moments. Tonight, Easton has a very important deal on the table, and you can’t afford to ruin it. You can’t be that clueless, can you?” she added.

Easton’s eyes flickered with a hint of disgust at the memory of how Natalie had clung to him. Natalie caught it instantly, and an unexpected pang of pain pierced her heart.

All her previous care and concern for Easton had only ever been met with his disgust. Thinking of this, Natalie couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst out laughing. Her eyes sparkled with mockery.

“Jennifer, I haven’t even glanced at Easton, so who are you putting on this drama for? Personally, I think anything that can be easily taken away from me is not worth keeping. If you enjoy picking up things I don’t want, I’m not stopping you,” she said.

“Easton likes to grovel at your feet, and you can do whatever you want because of his affection," she continued, "But why do you have to drag me into this? He and I are divorced. If you dare do this again, I might expose all your dirty secrets.”

Natalie smiled as she warned her, knowing full well that her smile alone was enough to make Jennifer furious.

This lifetime was unfolding differently from the last. In her previous life, this very business event had happened too, but she hadn’t attended. The ones who had come were Easton and Jennifer.

After that party, everyone came to know that Jennifer was the apple of Easton’s eye. Later, rumors surfaced that Natalie had been the other girl in their relationship.

Natalie didn’t mind being called the other girl. After all, she wasn’t the one being loved by Easton.

But in this lifetime, she had met Maurice earlier, changing the course of events from her past life.

Now, she wondered what would happen tonight. A faint smile played on Natalie’s lips. She was quite looking forward to it.

Easton stood frozen, staring at her. She was smiling brightly, while he stood under the lights, exuding wealth, power, and charm. Yet Natalie didn’t even want to spare him a glance.

Jennifer frowned and looked at Easton pitifully. “Easton, Natalie’s trying to set me up again.”

Natalie blinked, and the lively expression in her big eyes was something Easton had never seen before.

“Set you up? Wow, you really think too highly of yourself. I don’t have to set you up; your face is enough to ruin you,” Natalie said.

With a sweet smile, Natalie walked over. Seeing Jennifer’s anxious expression, she smiled even more brightly. “Jennifer, I’m just getting started, and you’re already scared?”

“You and your father know perfectly well what you’ve wrongfully accused me of. Don’t think I’m a fool just because I’ve stayed silent,” she added.
