Chapter 354
After telling her plan to her mom, Jennifer noticed a hint of approval from Camellia. โThat could work, but why provoke Natalie when sheโs no longer a threat to you?โ
Seeing Easton defend Natalie sent Jennifer into a jealous rage; everything from the Simpson family and Easton was meant to be hers.
Jennifer said, โMom, Natalie knows about my past and is starting to fight back. Sheโs not the quiet and timid girl she used to be.โ
Camellia was shocked and worried. โDoes Natalie know everything? Has she told Easton?โ
Jennifer sighed. โShe told Easton everything, and now heโs distant. But tonight, when I got sick, he left Natalie to take me to the hospital. I didnโt expect to find out Iโm pregnant.โ
Camelliaโs worry increased as she understood Eastonโs nature. โFoolish girl, forget about Easton. You saved his life; he will be thankful and treat you well. But Natalie is still his wife. If the media finds out, youโll be seen as a mistress, and I cannot allow that. Men choose what benefits them. Easton fought hard to get where he is, even denying his dad. Youโre just the person who saved his life; heโs already paid that back. If you trick him, the fallout will be severe.โ
Frustration surged through Camellia; things were growing too complicated.
โMom, Easton will never leave me just to make me a mistress; he will sort things out.โ
Camellia argued, โHe gives you two million every month; if Natalie finds out, the court will have proof.โ
โI can handle my own business,โ Jennifer shot back coldly.
She was shocked by her momโs lack of support, thinking Eastonโs feelings for her would prevent any mistakes.
Angered, Camellia replied, โYou need her ID for the documents! Think this through; if Natalie finds any proof, you could go to jail.โ
Feeling exhausted from years of fighting, Camellia felt defeated.
Jennifer clenched her fists tightly, discomfort radiating from her body, as a deep ache in her abdomen grew worse. She was determined to destroy Natalie. She couldnโt let all her efforts end in failure since everyone knew Easton loved her.
Easton did not look for Natalie at the restaurant. Instead, he waited for her at her villa. Climbing the walls wouldnโt work tonight; guards were everywhere. A cold look was in Eastonโs eyes, realizing Natalie truly saw him as a thief. He stayed in his car, enjoying the warmth inside. Leaning back, his handsome face showed both perfection and turmoil, his pressed lips hinting at cruelty. He closed his eyes, remembering Natalieโs indifference toward him, which sparked irritation.
Bored, Xavier turned on his phone to listen to an audiobook. He couldnโt understand Eastonโs actions anymore; all he knew was that Easton was a scoundrel eyeing a donut.
After a long hour, Easton finally saw Natalie get out of Murrayโs car.
With a smile, Natalie told Murray, โDrive safely on your way home.โ
โOf course! Iโll call you when I get there,โ replied Murray.
Only after watching Murray leave did Natalie head for her home, but before she could reach the door, a strong hand grabbed hers tightly. Startled, Natalie looked back to see Easton, giving off a tempting aura like a dangerous lover pulling her in.
โNatalie, why are you coming back so late?โ he asked.
Amused, she replied, โWhy do you care when I come back? I have nothing to do with youโโ
Instead of releasing her, Easton tightened his grip; the light made him appear more striking, yet cruelty incomโ
Natalie resisted him. โEaston, let go! Have some decency! Iโve made it clear I donโt want to see you. Why do you keep hanging around? Let me go; I want nothing to do with you.โ
Before she could finish her protest, Easton pulled her into the car. He fastened her seatbelt and told Xavier to drive to the villa.
Natalie, frustrated, asked, โWhere are you taking me?โ
With an air of superiority, Easton answered, โHome.โ
โMy home is over there! What do you mean?โ
Only then did she remember he had given her the keys that morning. Looking at her hand, still held by Eastonโs, she felt disgusted. โLet go; donโt touch meโI feel dirty.โ
Eastonโs eyes turned bright red.
โIf you were willing to divorce, I wouldnโt feel this way. After touching Jennifer, donโt even think about touching meโIโm afraid Iโll get sick.โ
Xavier admired Natalieโs boldness.
Eastonโs grip tightened, crushed by her disdain. โNatalie, I remember Murray is also a shady character who plays with women. Why donโt you think heโs awful?โ
Natalie smiled. โThatโs different; Iโm just his friend. Youโre my supposed husband. I can overlook your past before our marriage, but cheating afterward is disgusting.โ
Easton reached for her, trying to grab her by the throat, but she quickly pulled away, warning him. โEaston, youโve attacked me too many times. Iโve warned you beforeโif you attack me again, I wonโt hold back.โ
Eastonโs hand froze. Natalie had a unique way of provoking him, stirring up rage to the point he almost wanted to hurt her. In truth, Natalie was somewhat scared of him; if things got physical, she wouldnโt stand a chance against Easton, whoseโ
