Chapter 121
When Natalie heard this, she thought Easton was lying. "Easton, youโre pathetic. Canโt you even admit what youโve done? Youโre a computer genius yourself. Youโve seen it. Those photos and videos arenโt fake. They were taken during our marriage when you and Jennifer were together. Youโre both shameless. So, apart from the divorce, donโt contact me. Thereโs nothing left to discuss. I donโt want a cent from you. Letโs just get the papers signed.โ
She was tired of saying this repeatedly, but Easton didnโt seem to be tired of hearing it.
Natalie continued, โEvery month, you threw a divorce agreement at me. I was wrongly accused. I hope you check the facts. Everyone thinks you have been a genius since childhood, but to me, youโre just like everyone from the Simpson family. You all make me sick.โ
Easton frowned, his voice slightly urgent. โNatalie, donโt you believe me?โ
Natalie sneered, โWhen I was framed by you and the Simpson family, even strangers believed me. As my husband, you never trusted me, did you?โ
Easton was taken aback, his gaze becoming even darker. He had truly never trusted Natalie.
Natalie saw the car arrive, opened the door, and got in. She glanced at Easton. โWe need to get divorced tomorrow morning. Remember to call me. Even if you wonโt, Jennifer will find a way to make sure it happens. Letโs wait and see.โ
Natalie waved at him with a sweet smile, as if she knew they would get divorced.
Easton always had a feeling Natalie knew everything. And in front of her, he was bound to make a fool of himself. He held his breath as he watched her car drive away, a cold glint in his eyes. He didnโt know what Jennifer was really up to. Murray was nowhere to be found either.
Easton shouted, โXavier, Natalie doesnโt trust me.โ
Xavierโs smile was insincere. โWell, Mr. Garcia, you never trusted Ms. Shawn either.โ
Easton closed his eyes and suppressed his anger. โLetโs head back,โ he said, turning to leave, his tall figure radiating loneliness.
Xavier shook his head. He thought, โWhat a clueless guy! If only you had realized it earlier.โ But he felt sorry for Easton. Easton had been pitiful since childhood. It was not wrong to be good to Jennifer since she stayed with him for some time, but he shouldnโt be so undiscriminating.
If what Natalie said was true, then even the perfect business mogul Easton could be used by the girl he lovingly raised. Jenniferโs scheming was truly excellent. If it werenโt for Natalieโs counterattack, her malicious deeds would have never come to light.
After getting in the car, Xavier said, โMr. Garcia, I continued the investigation and found a photo of the hotel. Itโs the Empire Hotel in Shagrity, but thereโs no timestamp. Iโll visit the hotel personally tomorrow to check.โ
Easton had seen that photo too. โFigure it out as soon as possible; the man in it looks exactly like me, almost indistinguishable.โ
Xavier was puzzled. โMr. Garcia, maybe we should go ask William if you actually have a twin brother.โ
Easton frowned. He wasnโt sure either. There were also no indications that he had a twin brother.
โMr. Garcia, why donโt we check it out? William is our only clue.โ Xavier thought this wasnโt a straightforward issue. Starting with William was the easiest way to uncover the truth.
Eastonโs eyes were dark and cold. โJust investigate it. Thereโs no need to meet him. Let Ryan look into it tomorrow, and you keep investigating this. He has countless women outside and may have illegitimate children. He makes me sick.โ
Xavier didnโt say anything. He found Easton was still unwilling to meet William, who held the key to the truth of the matter.
The night view was beautiful, but Easton felt incredibly restless deep down. He unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, showing off his attractive collarbone. The autumn wind was cool as he looked at the bustling city night outside.
Thinking of that man, his frustration grew stronger, and Natalieโs lack of trust only made him feel even more anxious. โXavier, could it be that in places I havenโt seen, that man also hurt Natalie?โ
Xavier tightened his grip on the steering wheel. โMr. Garcia, I donโt know about that. Who is this man? We havenโt identified him yet, and Ms. Shawn is very firm in her stance.โ Xavier looked at Easton with sympathy. It seemed he had finally come to his senses.
After Natalie got home, Valerie texted her saying she wouldnโt be back tonight.
Natalie texted back, โ[Valerie, stay safe.]โ
In the past, Valerie was fine, but she went abroad for a while, and Natalie couldnโt leave Easton, so she didnโt know what happened to her. The people from the Simpson family didnโt know Valerie, so she wasnโt very clear about her situation.
Valerie texted, โ[Donโt worry. Iโm okay, just making some money.]โ
Natalie smiled. James and Lambert hadnโt come home yet. She switched on the roomโs light, picked up some clothes, and went to take a shower. After the shower, she put on white silk loungewear and went to the study.
She pulled out a notebook and a pen to sketch a relationship diagram about Jenniferโs upcoming connections. Zach was now in jail, so next, it was that boyโs turn, but she couldnโt figure out where that boy was.
In front of the Simpson family and Easton, Jennifer acted like a fragile little girl. If Natalie hadnโt had a second chance at life, she would have never realized that Jenniferโs talents were unmatched, even compared to men.
Jennifer was an outstanding student, winning first place in annual piano competitions, and her dance at the university gala was legendary. She also understood finance and started her own company. Wendy raised her to be exceptional.
Jennifer took advantage of these resources, and in ten years, she would become a top tycoon, surpassing even Maurice. Easton met his end due to his foolishness and the truth. Jennifer and Easton had a major argument that day, but there was something unusual about Easton, though Natalie couldnโt pinpoint what it was.
Natalie glanced at the date; her expression became serious. Murray hadnโt come to see her recently.
Murrayโs company was already encountering issues, but they werenโt too substantial yet, but the Spencer family couldnโt identify the problems.
Jennifer secretly registered a company, using Eastonโs allowance to grow the business stronger and stronger. There were many reasons she clung to Easton.
Natalie organized the upcoming character relationships, but the most important thing now was Colinโs birthday party. She suddenly stood up and called Luna.
โMs. Shawn,โ Lunaโs voice remained cool and gentle, showing great respect towards Natalie.
Natalie said, โLuna, you have to stay with Jennifer until Mr. Wayneโs birthday party. Itโs essential to report her every move to me daily. Who she meets is crucial. No matter who it is, send me their photos.โ
Luna asked, โMs. Shawn, you seem really anxious. Did something happen?โ
