Chapter 426: Olivia Plays the Piano

He had always assumed Walden’s granddaughter was Olivia. He even thought Walden had used the opportunity to meet and recognize her when he wasn't paying attention. However, after going around in circles, Daxton realized he had made a fool of himself. He and Walden weren’t even talking about the same person!

Daxton glanced at Liliana, fully masked and guarded, and all his fight drained away instantly. He calmed down. “Oh, don’t worry, I can agree to that.” This kind of woman, even if she offered him money, he wouldn't let his grandson marry her.

Walden, prepared to battle Daxton, was caught off guard by the sudden capitulation. “Benjamin, take the others around. I’ll talk with him in the study,” Daxton said, as if he had suddenly realized something. He instructed the servants to escort him to the second-floor study, and Walden followed.

This left the three Kenneth family members and Benjamin behind. Just seconds ago, the two old men were arguing about Benjamin and Liliana. Now, the atmosphere turned awkward instantly.

Liliana glanced at Benjamin, clearly not expecting him to have any interest in her. Benjamin wanted the ground to swallow him up. Brody, the instigator, pretended to know nothing. Since the hall was closed to other guests, Brody was eager to find Olivia.

“Benjamin, right? Hello, I’m Brody. It’s my first visit. May I look around?” Brody asked with a smile, grateful that he hadn’t officially joined the ‘Legacy of the Dynasty’ cast yet due to Liliana’s facial injury and hadn’t really met Benjamin. Otherwise, his cover would be completely blown today.

“You can, as long as you don’t go upstairs. Feel free to move around,” Benjamin quickly replied, seizing the way out of the awkward moment. Brody nodded.

After making a cursory conversation with Liliana, Brody quickly took Paul to look for someone inside the Moore residence.

Liliana glanced at Benjamin. Benjamin thought to himself, Don't look. My heart belongs to someone else, not you.

Liliana frowned. More than anything, she cared whether Olivia was present. Now that the other members of the Kenneth family had left, she took the chance to search for Olivia alone at the party. Olivia better not be here!

Relieved that the Kenneth family members had left, Benjamin also prepared to slip away to chat with Olivia when his phone suddenly buzzed with a text from Daxton.

“It’s getting late. Let’s move up Olly’s program; don’t keep people too late.”

Upon seeing the message, Benjamin hurried to the backyard and took Olivia to prepare for the piano performance before Brody and others arrived.

Olivia was dressed casually, but the Moore family had already prepared a gown for her. The piano was also ready. All that was left was for Olivia to change into her dazzling gown and make her entrance.

The three or four members of the Kenneth family had nearly turned the Moore family’s banquet inside out, yet they still hadn’t seen Olivia.

Just as Brody was beginning to doubt his own ears from earlier that day, a melodious piano sound suddenly came from nearby. The lights in the Moore family courtyard dimmed by half in an instant, and a brilliant spotlight shone toward the small pavilion in the front yard.

Surrounded by greenery and adorned with blood-red roses, the black piano under the moonlight, mixed with the lights, shimmered with streaks of gloss. Sitting at the piano, Olivia in a flowing white gown looked like a vision from heaven, bathed in moonlight. In the water-surrounded pavilion, she slowly began to play mesmerizing music.
