Chapter 295: Dad, Do You Have an Illegitimate Daughter?

Paul searched the military academy but couldn't find any trace of Olivia. Left with no other choice, he went to Marshall for help.

When Marshall heard that Paul was looking for Olivia, he was utterly baffled. “Don’t drag me into any trouble! My dad just finished warning me. Olivia’s identity is special, and she’s not even a full-time instructor. She doesn’t stay at the academy regularly. If you want to find her, you’ll have to wait until her next combat class. And whatever you do, don’t go blabbing about Olivia being here at Borealia Military Academy. If my dad hears about it, he’ll probably show up at your doorstep with a knife,” Marshall explained, looking frustrated.

Marshall looked downright miserable. Apparently, Felix had spilled everything about his and Paul’s antics to Corey, leading to a brutal lecture in the office. Marshall’s father had explicitly forbidden them from investigating Olivia’s identity.

To be honest, Marshall didn’t even know what Olivia looked like. All he had was a name. But with Corey’s strict orders, he had no choice but to warn Paul to drop it.

With no other leads, Paul and Brody left the academy empty-handed.

Back at the Kenneth mansion, their father, Andres, was sitting on the sofa, chatting with Liliana, who had just returned home. “Father,” Paul and Brody greeted respectfully as soon as they saw him.

Andres nodded slightly. Liliana, noticing them, immediately broke into a radiant smile. “Brody, Paul!”

Paul’s face softened with a doting smile the moment he saw Liliana. “Did you see the gift Paul brought you?”

Liliana nodded happily. It was something she had casually mentioned during a family dinner, and Paul had gone out of his way to get it for her from overseas. Such situations were common in the Kenneth family.

As the only girl in three generations, Liliana was undeniably the center of attention, adored and pampered by the entire family. She had grown up surrounded by the love and indulgence of her brothers.

“Brody, what about the thing you promised me?” Liliana asked, turning to him.

Brody smiled. “It’s already on its way. It should arrive in a couple of days.”

Satisfied, Liliana beamed with joy. Brody smiled back at her, but while his lips curved upward, his eyes held little amusement.

“Dad, did grandpa and grandma have any other children besides you and your brothers?” Brody suddenly asked.

Andres frowned slightly, puzzled by his son’s question. “Your grandparents only had me and your uncles. Why do you ask?”

Paul knew exactly why Brody was asking. He was curious too. It seemed impossible for two unrelated people to look so alike.

“Did Grandma have any siblings?” Paul asked.

“No, your grandmother was an only child,” Andres replied.

“Then… did Grandma have any illegitimate children?” Paul ventured.

The moment those words left his mouth, Andres spat out the tea he was drinking. “You brat! What nonsense are you talking about? If your grandfather hears this, he’ll break your legs!”

Paul hesitated before adding cautiously, “Uh… what about you, Dad? Or maybe one of our uncles? Do you have an illegitimate daughter?”

Andres’s lips twitched as he hurled a teacup at Paul’s head. “You little rascal! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”

Paul barely dodged the flying teacup, muttering under his breath, “I was just asking… no need to get so worked up.”
