Chapter 363 Youโ€™re In For a Treat

At first, Una had been worried that Tilda might get tangled up with Nathan. If Jude ever found out about it, things would have turned into a total mess.

She never expected Tilda to shut Nathan down so quickly and cleanly.

โ€œJarrett, if youโ€™re hungry, sit down and eat. With my sponsor here, youโ€™re in for a treat.โ€

โ€œAhemโ€ฆ Nathan, what do you think?โ€

Jarrett hadnโ€™t seen the Queen in ages and really wanted to sit next to her. He wanted to take a ton of pictures and show off in the group chat.

But since Nathan had been the one to bring him here, he couldnโ€™t just ditch Nathan and go hang out with Tilda, especially after what Tilda had just put Nathan through.

โ€œLetโ€™s all eat together, then.โ€ Nathan replied generously, acting as if he didnโ€™t mind what had just happened.

โ€œOh, so youโ€™re staying for dinner too?โ€ Tilda looked at Nathan with a fake look of surprise.

Nathan was speechless. He just raised an eyebrow at her.

โ€œMs. Tilda, are you saying Iโ€™m not welcome here?โ€

โ€œOf course you are. After all, you own the place. So I guess everything we eat tonight is on you, right?โ€

โ€œOf course.โ€ Nathan didnโ€™t look pleased at all.

When Tilda looked at him, it was like sheโ€™d just found herself a sucker.

Given her X persona and the fact that she was the International College Art Competition champion, money like this didnโ€™t even matter to her anymore.

But she still had to take advantage of him.

It was true that Nathan was a fan of X, but he was far from obsessed with her. He just genuinely thought Tilda was attractive and suited his tastes.

With her current status, sheโ€™d be more than qualified to be his girlfriend.

Even after sheโ€™d cut ties with the Jensons, she still had her fair share of connections. There were even rumors that sheโ€™d gotten involved with top lawyer Andy.

Worse still, word had it that sheโ€™d put the Jenson Groupโ€™s chairman, Russell, through hell โ€“ with Andyโ€™s help.

There were even rumors that Alfie, Maurice, and Jude were connected with Tilda.

There was no way Nathan wouldnโ€™t be interested in a woman like that.

Dinner started with all four of them sitting in awkward tension. Tilda, on the other hand, ate like nothing was wrong.

She acted like she had no idea that the strange vibe in the room centered entirely around her. She started ordering the most expensive wine and food in the restaurant, not holding back at all.

After all, Nathan was the one paying. She figured she should make the most of it.

She wanted to get rid of him, but he just wouldnโ€™t take the hint, so she kept him around to pick up the check.

Nathan tried several times to strike up a conversation, but Tilda ignored him completely. She just treated him like air.

Instead, she focused on chatting with Una and Jarrett right in front of him, as if Nathan didnโ€™t even exist.

Even someone as well-mannered as Nathan eventually started to get annoyed.

He poured himself a drink, downed half the glass in one go, then spoke in a cold voice. โ€œMs. Tilda, you really donโ€™t seem to like me very much.โ€

โ€œNope, thatโ€™s just your imagination. Youโ€™re my fan, remember?โ€ Tilda finally decided to acknowledge Nathan.

She blinked innocently, as if saying โ€“ I donโ€™t mean to be rude. Itโ€™s just that, in my eyes, you barely matter at all. Youโ€™re nothing compared to Una and Jarrett.

โ€œIโ€™m just a fan of Ms. Tilda, so I guess that means I donโ€™t deserve any polite treatment from you?โ€

โ€œHmph.โ€ Nathan downed the rest of his drink in one gulp.

Then, he stood up and grabbed his suit jacket from the back of the chair. โ€œSorry, something just came up at the office. I canโ€™t stay any longer.โ€

As he spoke, he motioned to the restaurant manager. โ€œClear the bill for this table โ€“ itโ€™s on me.โ€

โ€œMr. Nathan!โ€ The manager rushed after him.

โ€œWowโ€ฆ I canโ€™t believe someone could actually make Nathan this upset โ€“ only you could pull that off, Tilda.โ€

โ€œBesides that time when Nathan and Preston fought over toys as little kids, I donโ€™t remember him ever losing control like this. He always kept his emotions in check.โ€

Jarrett gnawed on his fork, staring at Tilda with pure admiration. Thereโ€™s no question Nathan learned that fake, polite mask from his dad, Marcus.

โ€œTo think he got upset so easilyโ€ฆ I guess I overestimated him. He really doesnโ€™t measure up to his father, Marcus. Heโ€™s not even half as smart as he is,โ€ Tilda said, a note of contempt in her voice.

Jarrett nearly blurted out exactly what he was thinking. Of course, youโ€™re the Queen of the dark web! Nobody can compare to you! No matter how impressive Nathan thinks he is, if Nathanโ€™s talented, heโ€™s no match for a legend like you! Youโ€™re the top hacker on the dark web. Just that alone is way out of Nathanโ€™s league.

Meanwhile, Nathan got into his Maybach. His driver noticed he looked upset, but he didnโ€™t dare ask him about it. โ€œMr. Nathan, where should we go?โ€

Nathan spat out a single word from his clenched teeth. โ€œHome.โ€

โ€œYes, Mr. Nathan!โ€

Nathan sat in the back seat, gradually calming down. He replayed the image of Tildaโ€™s indifferent, flawless face in his mind.

Soon, a faint smile curled at the corners of his lips. Tilda, huh? She really is something. I was only mildly curious about her at first. But seeing her treat me with such disdain and act like I didnโ€™t even matterโ€ฆ now Iโ€™m even more intrigued.
