Chapter 225 Fondue House
In front of everyone, Alfie suddenly pulled out a durian and a keyboard. Then, he set them down on the ground.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
โWhat the hell is this? Is he about to smash the keyboard on the durian?โ
โHey, Jude, I didnโt forget what I promised you. See? Keyboard here, durian there. Pick one, and Iโll kneel on it. Letโs just call it even, alright? Please?โ
Alfie gave Jude a pitiful look, practically begging.
Last time, Jude let Alfie off because of Tilda, so Alfie didnโt need to fly over to apologize in person. But he knew his friend wellโJude held grudges. When it came to the girl Jude liked, he was ten times worse. Heโd better apologize now than wind up mysteriously gone later.
Jude just looked at Alfie like he was the dumbest guy.
โCut it out, Alfie. Youโre embarrassing yourself. Do it in private.โ
Maurice walked over and smacked Alfie on the back of the head.
โDamn it, Maurice! That hurt! Trying to kill me?โ Alfie looked like he wanted to pounce on Maurice. โIโm scared of Jude, not you, punk. Sneak-attacking me? No manners at all!โ
โWeโre leaving.โ Judeโs cold voice cut through, not interested in their clowning around. He wasnโt rushing back tonight to watch Alfie kneel on anything.
โHey, Jude, donโt walk so fast! Wait up!โ
โCome on, heโs heading to see his girl. No time for your circus.โ
โScrew you, Maurice! You think Iโm soft just because Iโm not pissed? Wanna get smacked?โ
The three vanished from sight.
Chapter 225 Fondue House
It took the crowd a while to recover. They were breathing hard with pale faces. Some had even forgotten to breathe for a moment.
โWait, Jude? Could that be Jude Bell from DY Group?โ
โHoly crap, did I just miss my chance? If Iโd known, I wouldโve walked up no matter what!โ
Jude and the others followed Tildaโs pin until they reached a busy area. Cars couldnโt get through the crowds, so they had to go on foot.
โUh, Jude, are you sure Tilda sent the right spot?โ Alfie looked around, baffled. Sure, the street was buzzing with life, all down-to-earth and noisy. But eating here? That didnโt truly fit their usual status. Wasnโt Alfieโs Sky Dining good enough?
Jude didnโt bother answering. He just kept walking until they arrived at a cheese fondue place. He ignored everyoneโs admiration and attention and texted Tilda.
โIโm here. Are you in Grannyโs Fondue House?โ
โYep! Wait for me at the doorโIโm coming down.โ
Grannyโs Fondue House was super popular. Tables spilled outside. People sat around shirtless, knocking back beers, laughing, eating nonstop. Jude and his friends looked completely out of place.
Maurice and Jude stayed cool as always. Alfie, though, kept glancing everywhere curiously.
Maurice rolled his eyes. โSeriously? Havenโt you seen a busy street before? Donโt embarrass us.โ
โI havenโt been here in ages! I just came back from overseas. I havenโt had time for spots like this. And wowโฆ that smell of lamb barbecue. Gotta admit, itโs kinda new to me.โ
Maurice facepalmed.
โHey, you guys finally made it!โ Tilda came out with her phone in hand. โDid I keep you waiting?โ
Chapter 225 Fondue House
When Jude saw the gorgeous girl standing there, his cold eyes softened right away, warmth flooding in. โNot at all.โ
โOrder whatever you want. Itโs on me. I got hooked on cheese fondue in Hetsa. Una and I hunted down this place. Itโs the real dealโฆโ
Jude naturally drifted to her side, just listening quietly. His cold, untouchable aura was gone, replaced with a gentle warmth, like spring air.
Alfie rubbed his chin and said meaningfully, โFirst time Iโve ever seen Jude like this. Heโs definitely fallen hard.โ
โYeah, no doubt. Weโre just extras todayโtheyโre the main show.โ
Since Tilda invited Judeโs friends, Una would be here as well. Thinking of Unaโs stubborn but innocent face, Maurice smiled. He stuck one hand in his pocket and walked inside.
Alfie shrugged. โHope we donโt choke on all the lovey-dovey vibes.โ
