Aubree let out a sharp laugh, like she’d just heard the funniest joke. “Let me remind you of something. My legal surname isn’t even Wilson. I was adopted by Patricia from the orphanage. She’s the only family I have. As for the Diamonde and Wilson families, don’t you already have Carmen? Why? You don’t want to acknowledge her as family anymore?”
Ernesto frowned. He hadn’t expected Aubree to be this stubborn. Since being tough wasn’t working, he softened his tone a bit. “Is it really worth it?
