Chapter 409
โOf course, I do,โ Aubree replied. She liked how good Bowen was to her, how he always took her side no matter what, never caring about right or wrong as long as it concerned her. She liked how handsome he was, and how great his body was.
For some reason, she suddenly let out a silly little giggle, tilting her face up with a bright grin. โBowen, I like you.โ
Bowenโs heart turned to mush.
โHow about a kiss?โ he asked in a low, teasing voice. They were both always busy, and even though theyโd been together for a while, Bowen could feel that he was always the one putting in more effort. Aubree just let him love her, never really taking the initiative herself.
It wasnโt that she didnโt like him. Compared to how much he liked her, it never felt quite enough.
Bowen was greedy by nature. Once he got a taste, he only wanted more. Normally, he wouldnโt dare push his luck, but tonight, she was drunk.
Bowen couldnโt help but grin. Every single time Aubree got drunk, she always got ridiculously bold.
This time was no exception.
Aubree shifted her arms from his waist to around his neck, sitting up and whining sweetly, โLower your head for me, I canโt reach.โ
Bowen chuckled softly and obediently leaned down toward her.
Maybe it was the alcohol, but Aubreeโs mouth felt parched. Before she could kiss him, she leaned in and, just like a kitten lapping at water, softly licked the corner of Bowenโs lips repeatedly.
Bowen had just meant to tease her a little, thinking at most sheโd give him a couple of quick pecks. He never saw this coming. His throat went dry, and the wild beast inside him, already straining at its cage, finally broke free.
โWho taught you to kiss me like that?โ Bowen murmured, his voice low and rough as he cupped the back of her head and broke the kiss, his eyes going dark.
Aubree blinked up at him, confusion written all over her face. โDid it not feel good?โ
Bowen didnโt bother answering with words. He showed her exactly how good it felt with his actions.
The carโs partition had been raised already. By the time they pulled up to Ellis Heights, Ethan and Samson hadnโt even had a chance to get out and open the door for Bowen when they heard a low, rough voice from inside. โGet out.โ
Their spines tingled at the tone, and they quickly scrambled out of the car.
They had no idea how long theyโd been waiting when the back door of the car finally opened. The first thing they saw was a pair of long legs in sharp suit pants stepping out. Ethan and Samson couldnโt help but sneak a look.
What they saw nearly made their eyes pop out. Bowen was carrying Aubree out of the car. In the moonlight, her face was bright red, Bowenโs jacket draped around her waist, her arms and legs limp as she curled up tightly in his arms.
A cold, cutting glare from Bowen swept over them, and the two immediately dropped their heads.
โHoly crap, what the hell did Bowen do in there?โ they both thought, their imaginations running wild.
Even Bowenโs usually pristine suit was now a total mess.
At Ellis Heights, Alvin opened the door and was greeted by the sight of Bowen carrying Aubree, who looked totally wasted. Both of them were a mess, their clothes all rumpled and out of place.
Alvin had come by to check on his grandfather today. Since his place was a bit far, he figured he might as well crash at Ellis Heights for the night.
His expression instantly turned odd. โDamn, Uncle Bowen, you really donโt hold back, do you?โ
Alvin thought, โDid he seriously get her drunk just to bring her home?
Wasnโt Uncle Bowen actually a decent guy before? How did he turn into such a shameless flirt after getting a girlfriend?โ
Bowen felt a headache coming on. โWe didnโt do anything, okay?
She just had too much to drink at her class reunion. Go make some hangover drink and bring it to my room.โ
With that, he walked right past Alvin, carrying Aubree back to his room.
Alvin stood there, feeling confused. He thought, โWhat am I now, that shameless old bastardโs personal servant?โ
Still, even as he complained in his head, he just accepted his fate and headed to the kitchen.
When Alvin came in with the hangover drink, Bowen was in the middle of wiping Aubreeโs face for her.
After feeding her the drink, Bowen didnโt even bother to look as he handed the cup off to Alvin. He treated him like a totally disposable helper.
โGo to bed,โ Bowen said.
Alvin just gave a couple of sarcastic chuckles, thinking, โWhat did I ever do to deserve being this bastardโs nephew?โ
