“Take us there,” Marion commanded.

The staff member felt offended. “Sir, I already told you I didn’t have the authority.”

Instead of mincing words, Marion stepped up to the staff member and pressed the switchblade against his stomach. The staff member’s face paled, and he was about to call for help when Marion warned, “You can try. Let’s see if someone comes to your rescue before you hit the ground.”

Fearing for his life, the staff member stammered, “Okay. I’ll take you.”

He turned to lead the way, but Marion warned, “Don’t try any tricks. I know all your moves.”

Debra understood that Marion didn’t want to reveal his identity. The staff member quickly led them to the underground level.

The noise down there was deafening. A vast, illegal casino sprawled out before them.

Marion’s expression darkened as he realized this was one of his establishments. He had come to investigate whether there were any issues with his operation.

Debra noticed an inconspicuous symbol in the casino. It was a scorpion coiled around a poppy flower. She had seen this symbol before in Drake’s casino. It was too distinctive to be a coincidence. Drake’s influence had spread even here.

“You can go,” Marion said, releasing the staff member, who fled in terror.

Debra looked concerned. “You just let him go? He’ll probably alert the higher-ups, and if things escalate, won’t your identity be exposed?”

“My identity will be exposed eventually,” Marion said calmly. “Might as well make an example of some people here.”

He took Debra’s hand and led her into the underground casino. The scene was like the one in Orkgate. Everyone here was desperate to strike it rich, oblivious to the fact that they could lose everything in an instant.

“Sir, you look new here. First time?” A staff member approached Marion.

“Find me a table and exchange ten million dollars for chips,” Marion said casually, pulling out his bank card.

The staff member’s eyes lit up. It was rare for someone to exchange such a large sum on their first visit.

“Please wait a moment. I’ll have someone bring the chips right away.” The staff member arranged for the chips and led Marion and Debra to a table, even providing them with seats.

Debra watched the game and remembered her first time in Drake’s casino. Newcomers were often directed to simple, fast-paced games to keep them engaged. It appeared the staff member had seen them as rookies.

“Are you really going to gamble?” Debra asked.

Marion smiled confidently, “Watch this. I’m about to turn ten million into one billion.”
