Sheila hurriedly explained, โ€œMaybe sheโ€™s just playing mysterious. Who knows what sheโ€™s thinking? Anyway, letโ€™s stop thinking about this and just eat.โ€

Carrie finally suppressed her doubts. But Wendy smelled a rat. Less naive than Carrie, she didnโ€™t fully believe Sheilaโ€™s words. Wendy sensed something was amiss from Sheilaโ€™s reaction.

โ€œLetโ€™s carry out our plan tonight,โ€ she said.

โ€œYes! Weโ€™ll follow her. Iโ€™ll capture substantial evidence to show Jordan the true colors of that woman,โ€ Carrie agreed.

But Sheila turned even paler. She had thought that after what just happened, Wendy and Carrie wouldnโ€™t want to continue their plan. Yet Wendy still proposed stalking Debra.

โ€œSheila, youโ€™ll come with us, right?โ€ Wendy probed.

Sheila forced a smile and said, โ€œOf course, Iโ€™ve promised you. Iโ€™ll definitely go with you.โ€

Her unnatural smile only aroused Wendyโ€™s suspicion further. Sheila was lying, but Wendy wasnโ€™t sure exactly what Sheila had lied about.

As the sky darkened, Carrie stalked Debra, with Wendy and Sheila close behind. Sheila was nervous, fearing Juan might come to pick up Debra.

โ€œIโ€™ve checked. She lives off-campus. No one has seen her in any dorms,โ€ Wendy said. Her information was always accurate.

โ€œIf she doesnโ€™t live in the dorms, she must commute,โ€ Carrie sneered. โ€œProbably because she canโ€™t afford the fee. After all, it costs twenty thousand dollars a yearโ€”not something an ordinary family can easily afford. A call girl like her can only commute.โ€

Wendy stayed silent, while Sheila said, โ€œCarrie, donโ€™t talk about her like that. Everyone has their own hardships. Maybe she had no other choice.โ€ This confirmed Debra was a call girl, but her words stirred unease in Wendyโ€™s heart.

Carrie was anxious. โ€œSheila, youโ€™re too kind! Why are you defending her? Have you forgotten her arrogant attitude in the cafeteria today?โ€

Sheila fell silent.

โ€œQuick! Sheโ€™s leaving. Letโ€™s follow!โ€ Wendy suddenly exclaimed, bringing their attention back.

After Debra walked out of the school gate, instead of heading to the subway or bus stop, she walked toward a high-end residential area across the street.

โ€œWeird, where is she going?โ€ Carrie asked, puzzled.

โ€œYeah, itโ€™s this late. She canโ€™t possibly be going home, can she?โ€

Under Wendyโ€™s and Carrieโ€™s puzzled gazes, Debra took out a card and swiped it to enter the residential area.

Carrie, afraid of losing Debra, immediately ran up, but a security guard stopped her. โ€œHello, please show me your residential card.โ€

โ€œResidential card? Iโ€”Iโ€™m here to visit a friend,โ€ Carrie stammered, having never heard of such a thing.

โ€œMay I know which building your friend lives in? Weโ€™ll verify it over the phone.โ€

โ€œNo need to verify! The one who just entered is my friend,โ€ Carrie lied.

The security guard began to scrutinize the three of them.
