Chapter 584
Marion rubbed his temples, exhaustion pressing down on him. In the main hall, Debra sat surrounded by photos and profiles of various people. She was trying to recall the faces sheโd seen that night. Although many guests had been masked, they werenโt strangers. Most were well-known figures in Seamar City, and Debra had studied the local business elite before the event. As she looked over the images, she sifted through her memories, recognizing more than a few.
โYes,โ โYes,โ โNo.โ
She methodically picked out each person. Erica, standing nearby, marveled, โYour memory is insane, Debra. I canโt believe you remember all these people.โ
Andrew, watching from his wheelchair, commented casually, โWell, she got her masterโs degree at seventeen.โ The Frazier familyโs academic pedigree ran deep, and it showed in the next generation.
Debra identified 53 people before growing weary. Her eyes flicked to Randy, who was holding up the next photo, but Andrew spoke up.
โThatโs enough for tonight.โ
โHuh? Why not finish up? We should get through them all while itโs still fresh.โ
Erica reached over and smacked Randy on the head. โIdiot, her brainโs going to fry if you push her like that. You think you could remember everything under this kind of pressure?โ
Randy rubbed the back of his head, grimacing. โYeah, I get it. Quit hitting me.โ
Debra glanced at the photos again and said, โI think I need to go back again.โ Sheโd identified 53 people, but more remained. Leaving even a few unidentified could lead to trouble later.
โNo need,โ Andrew said. โYou wonโt remember all of them, and it will be more dangerous.โ
Erica chimed in, โYeah, itโs too risky. You shouldnโt go.โ She nudged Randy, who nodded vigorously. โTotally. Donโt go back.โ
โButโฆโ Debra wanted to insist, but Andrew cut her off. โDrake has his eyes on you now, doesnโt he?โ
Marionโs head shot up, his eyes locking onto Debra. She hadnโt planned on keeping it a secret, but this confirmed something she hadnโt fully realized until now: Andrew had someone inside the Lowe Group feeding him information.

Debra responded, โI wasnโt trying to deviate from the plan. It just happened. I couldnโt have predicted it.โ
Andrew said, โItโs fine. Drake noticing you works in our favor. Heโs the type of man who wonโt stop until he gets what he wants. Eventually, heโll come to you. And when he does, weโll see whoโs the hunter and whoโs the prey.โ
Debra sensed this had been Andrewโs goal all along. Marion shot him a glare.
โWhy didnโt you tell me about this beforehand?โ
โBecause youโd never agree to it. Everything Iโve done is for our plan to move forward.โ
The air in the room was tense. Debra broke it with a frown.
โEnough of this.โ
