Chapter 84
Alaricka had talked badly about Kieran behind his back. It really felt amazing, especially when she heard Jaylene, whom she wanted to win over, badmouthing Kieran. She was just over the moon.
That’s it, just scold a bit more, then you didn’t have to worry about Kieran taking Jaylene away. The smile never left Alaricka’s face.
Suddenly, there was a commotion at the door of the ward. She and Jaylene both looked up. The door was pushed open from outside, and a bunch of messy boys and girls all fell to the ground in a heap, letting out a chorus of screams.
“Aiyo, don’t press on me, you fatso, get off!”
“Get out! Why is this thing so heavy? A bunch of dead fatties!”
“Shhhh! Stop talking, Mr. Argent’s coming, everyone shut up.”
Alaricka’s eyebrows immediately furrowed. Mr. Argent? Kieran?
Jaylene immediately stood up from her chair and stared at those people with wide eyes. “What were you doing here?”
The group kept their mouths shut and quickly got up from the ground, shoving each other and trying to pass the blame.
“It’s all your fault, I told you not to come, it’s all because of you.”
“What the heck, it was clearly your idea.”
The noise was too loud, and Alaricka’s head was a mess. Until she saw Kieran walk in, her frown deepened even more.
Kieran was still in that same old black suit, still had that deadpan face, but now he was carrying an unusual thermos. Alaricka saw him, and it was like her stomach, which had just calmed down, started hurting again.
Alaricka frowned. “Why are you here?” No, she should have asked him when he came. Just now she and Jaylene were talking badly about him. Hope Kieran didn’t hear it.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned.
The group suddenly started yelling, “So you’re Kieran, huh? How do you even have the nerve to show up?”
“Didn’t you hear just now that Alaricka didn’t want you to come? What did Alaricka say about you?”
These were the ones who broke into the club last night and rescued Alaricka. They all knew exactly what happened, so of course they also knew what Kieran did.
Just like Alaricka said, these guys were full of energy, and whenever they saw something unfair, they just shouted out. They were like newborn calves not afraid of tigers. So even if they knew who Kieran was, they still rushed up and shouted all cocky.
There’s no denying this was a stupid thing to do, but Alaricka felt a warmth in her heart she hadn’t felt in a long time.
Kieran just lowered his eyelids a little and gave that group of students a calm look. They just hung their heads like they were wilted.
Jaylene saw this and her mouth twitched. She stared at those boys and girls. No backbone!
Alaricka took a deep breath and looked at Kieran calmly enough: “What do you want?”
Although calm enough, the hoarseness in her voice couldn’t be hidden. She gave a sarcastic smirk, “You’re not asking me to drink the leftover wine from last night, are you?”
There was the sound of high heels on the floor outside the ward door, and Roschelle’s voice. “Why were you stuck here? Why didn’t you go in?”
Roschelle wore a long white dress, had a slim and well-proportioned figure, and looked beautiful and pure. The group were almost staring, all amazed.
Roschelle walked over, took Kieran’s arm, and smiled gently, “You’re Alaricka’s classmates, right? Kier and I came to visit Alaricka, so you don’t need to be nervous.”
A guy nodded dumbly, and only snapped out of it after the girl next to him slapped him. He immediately straightened his face.
Roschelle smiled carelessly, took the thermos from Kieran, and put it on the bedside table. “Alaricka, this is chicken soup I had Giselle at home make. I heard you really liked Giselle’s cooking, so I brought it over. Try it and see if you like it.”
Giselle.
Alaricka raised her eyebrows, sarcasm in her eyes, and she looked away, turning to the window. Giselle was a maid in the Argent’s villa, and Roschelle called the Argent’s villa home, vaguely showing her authority and acting like she was the hostess while entertaining her.
Alaricka thought it was funny. Roschelle really didn’t have to do that. She was already pregnant with Kieran’s baby, Kieran was still an only child, and Wallace also cared about the family’s heir.
