Chapter 53

Alarieka waited, and after a clear commotion arose backstage, she lifted her skirt and stepped down slowly.

She had just stepped off the stage when she met Roschelle’s pale face and anxious eyes.

Alarieka didn’t care anymore, because she knew someone would judge Roschelle’s plagiarism.

Alarieka walked over to the dressing table and slowly took off her earrings, necklace, and other accessories. She looked at the mirror, the corners of her mouth curled into a smile.

The mirror perfectly reflected Kieran and Roschelle. Roschelle had tears in her eyes and threw herself into Kieran’s arms. She wrapped both arms around Kieran’s waist, her whole back shaking as she cried. She looked pitiful.

Kieran frowned a little, raised his hand to touch Roschelle’s back, and comforted her softly. Roschelle’s sobbing grew louder.

Alarieka listened to Roschelle’s crying and felt totally relaxed. But in the next second, she met Kieran’s warning, sharp gaze in the mirror. His dark eyes were as deep as water, and the anger in them almost drowned her.

Alarieka casually put down her earrings, looked into Kieran’s eyes, and slowly curled up her lips. She mouthed, “I did it.”

Alarieka shut her mouth and looked at Kieran with a mocking, provocative expression.

Just as she expected, Kieran’s brows furrowed even more, and his dark eyes looked even gloomier. Kieran, who was always as steady as a rock, almost showed his anger.

Alarieka took off the extra accessories, stood up, walked to the locker room, and took off her clothes. She didn’t go back to the backstage, but left right away.

The air on the road was really fresh and smelled great. It was the best air she’d smelled since she was reborn, and her whole body felt better.

Alarieka took out her phone, and sure enough, she saw a video online of Roschelle playing a piano piece, as well as an audio comparing Roschelle’s “My Love” and Lindsey’s “Aspiration.”

Almost the same ups and downs confirmed that Roschelle plagiarized.

There were also lots of comments, and many couldn’t believe Roschelle would actually plagiarize. At first, the only people who paid attention to this incident were Roschelle’s fans.

So the comments under the related links were almost all flooded by Roschelle’s fans, and they claimed this was a conspiracy. Because the host of the school anniversary was Alarieka, everything was Alarieka’s doing, and Roschelle totally didn’t plagiarize.

The sentence “Roschelle was innocent and pure” almost filled the whole comment section. There were actually some netizens who really thought about it and raised doubts, but they just got flamed by Roschelle’s fans.

Just a few minutes later, Alarieka refreshed the page again, and all the links saying Roschelle plagiarized were gone.

Alarieka didn’t even have to think about it; it was definitely Kieran.

It’s just that her smile was gone.

Kieran not only took down the news links saying Roschelle plagiarized, but also took down the posts from users who confirmed or criticized Roschelle for plagiarizing.

That is to say, Kieran was able to clean up the internet, but didn’t want to clean up the online environment for her.

Up until now, there were still tons of posts online saying she was a homewrecker, saying she got between them, and calling her a shameless bitch.

Alarieka thought, Kieran really was a man deeply in love with Roschelle, always so thoughtful and caring, and he really didn’t want Roschelle to be wronged at all.

But even so, after what happened tonight, Roschelle would be labeled as plagiarizing for a long time.

The internet was huge; even if Kieran covered its mouth, there would still be a few comments that slipped through the net.

I hadn’t even left the campus when Reyna called me.

“Alaricka, come to the principal’s office.”

Alaricka said, “Okay.”

Just as Alaricka walked up to the principal’s office door, she heard Roschelle quietly sobbing inside.

There were a lot of leaders and teachers in the office, and the other three hosts were there, too. They all looked serious.

She knocked on the door, and right away everyone in the office looked at her.

Only one person didn’t look at her.

Kieran put his suit jacket over Roschelle’s shoulders, cupped her shoulder with his hand, and whispered something to comfort her.

Alarieka looked over calmly, “Principal, you wanted to see me?”

The principal frowned and looked at her suspiciously, “Alarieka, I already asked the others. None of them played that piano piece at the end, so was it you?”

Almost everyone’s eyes were on her.

Alarieka smiled and nodded calmly, “Yeah, is there a problem?”

As soon as she finished speaking, Kieran finally looked up at her, his eyes sharp and dark, full of that strong, commanding presence.
