Chapter 205

“Is there something going on? Can I come with you? I was fine, I could walk by myself, I wouldn’t slow you down.”

Kieran pushed the wheelchair to the bed, gently helped Roschelle onto it, took back the thin blanket from her knees, and pulled the quilt over her.

After finishing all this, Kieran finally said, “It’s nothing, I’ll be back soon, get some rest.”

Roschelle originally had a bit of tenderness in her eyes because of Kieran’s actions, but when Kieran said that, the gentle smile on Roschelle’s lips faded.

She forced a smile and said softly, “Then go quickly and come back soon. I’ll wait for you.”

Kieran bent down, tucked in the corner of the quilt, and gave a low mm.

As Kieran leaned down, from an outsider’s point of view, Roschelle was almost held in Kieran’s arms. Roschelle’s nose was filled with Kieran’s deep scent, which smelled really good.

Roschelle smelled that scent and almost got addicted to it, just wanting to hold Kieran’s waist and bury herself in Kieran’s arms.

After Kieran tucked in the blanket, he left soon, and that smell slowly faded away.

Roschelle pressed her lips together and lowered her eyes.

Kieran left, and there was only Roschelle in the hospital room.

After the door to the ward closed, Roschelle sat on the hospital bed and waited for a few seconds. In the end, she just couldn’t help it–she put on her slippers and peeked outside through the little glass window by the door.

Even though it was just a few seconds, Roschelle only had time to see Kieran’s back as he left, and she only saw it for a second or two.

Roschelle was anxious and didn’t bother to grab the thin blanket. She pulled open the door and ran out.

She fell into the water by herself. Her body got wet, but she was fine. She just liked to act weak in front of Kieran, so she asked Kieran to bring her a wheelchair.

Right now, she walked quickly and just wanted to see what Kieran was going to do.

She followed Kieran’s trail and ended up back where she first met Alarieka.

Sure enough.

Looking at Alarieka’s back, Roschelle secretly gritted her teeth.

Sure enough, Kieran came to see Alarieka.

She hid behind a tree, stuck her head out, and listened carefully to their conversation.

After seeing Kieran decide to buy the five-hundred-dollar charm after hearing what the old lady said, Roschelle almost clawed the bark off the tree and was about to grind her gums to pieces.

The old lady said to give it to someone you love, so who did Kieran want to give it to?

Was it Alarieka?

As soon as she thought of this possibility, Roschelle just couldn’t calm down. She stared hard at Alarieka, her chest heaving with anger, and she wished she could rush out right now and grab the amulet.

She watched as Kieran called out to Alarieka.

In that moment, her heart almost stopped.

Roschelle’s fingers dug hard into the wall, and some splinters from the bark stuck into her skin, but she didn’t care.

After watching Alarieka leave, Kieran didn’t give out the protective charm either.

Roschelle finally let out a sigh of relief.

She gave a little smile and straightened her collar.

If it wasn’t for Alarieka, then it was for her.

There was no one else.

So, Roschelle got back to the hospital room before Kieran came back. She half leaned against the headboard, had a blanket over her legs, a gentle smile on her face, and quietly flipped through the book in her hands, really looking like everything was peaceful.

When Patrick came in and saw Roschelle like that, he zoned out for a second.

It was really beautiful.

Most guys in the world liked the type that was pretty much like Roschelle.

Even Kieran, who was always aloof and called the flower on the high ridge, couldn’t escape Roschelle’s charm.

Patrick zoned out, his steps unconsciously moving forward.

He called softly, “Rose…”

Roschelle glared at him, her cheeks a little red: “Why are you staring? What are you looking at?”

Patrick looked a bit embarrassed as he took his eyes back and walked over to Roschelle. He asked in a low voice, “Why isn’t Kieran here with you?”

Roschelle smiled even more, looking all shy and girly: “Kier will be back soon, are you looking for him?”

Patrick frowned at that, even more unhappy with Kieran: “Where did he go? You’re like this, and has he been with you the whole time?”

Roschelle pursed her lips and said casually, “Kier was always busy with work, and I was fine, I didn’t need him to be with me all the time, plus he’d be back soon.”
