Chapter 124

Alaricka pretended to have a cold face. “There was no room for discussion about this, I didn’t take more.”

Jaylene’s lips opened and closed a few times, then her eyes turned red. “Alaricka, thank you, really, thank you.”

She suddenly lowered her head and wiped away the tears at the corner of her eyes. “I kind of believed what those people said before, thought you were hard to get along with. Now I see, I was wrong, they were wrong.” “Alaricka, I remembered you, I always remembered you.”

Alaricka burst out laughing, “The way you said that, I thought you were holding a grudge.” Jaylene also broke into a smile through her tears.

It was close to midnight, and the two rode back on a tricycle. On the way, a Rolls-Royce blocked Alaricka and Jaylene’s path.

Kieran got out of the car, tiredly and impatiently yanking off his tie with one hand. His eyes were closed, and his voice was low and cold, straight to the point. “Get in the car.”

Jaylene blocked Alaricka behind her and frowned, “What’s up?” Kieran opened his eyes. In the dark night, his black eyes looked even deeper. He didn’t even glance at Jaylene, just looked straight at Alaricka, his eyes cold and heavy. “Alarieka, get in the car, don’t make me say it again.”

Maybe because her friend was by her side, Alaricka looked into Kieran’s dark eyes and felt a bit more confident inside. “Why do I have to go with you?” Alaricka shook her head: “I’m not leaving.”

Kieran’s brows were lowered, and his whole vibe made people afraid to look at him. Alaricka held her breath and stared at Kieran without looking away.

Kieran gave her and Jaylene’s old tricycle a look she couldn’t read and said coldly, “So this is your life now?” “You were still a student who had to take exams, but now you have ended up setting up a stall to sell barbecue?” There was a sharp, obvious sarcasm in Kieran’s eyes: “This is your new life?”

Such obvious sarcasm. Alaricka got pissed off right away. Alaricka clenched her fists and lowered her voice, “I don’t need you to care about me.”

His pregnant wife was already waiting at the Argent’s villa, so what right did he have, and from what position, to control her? Kieran gave a cold laugh, “None of my business?” “All those things you did before, which one wasn’t I in charge of? Now you’ve grown up and just have to come suffer?”

Alaricka shot back with a cold, sarcastic tone, “No matter how tough things got, it was still better than getting framed at the Argent’s villa, don’t you think?” Kieran narrowed his eyes, and there was a dangerous glint in them. “Alaricka, are you leaving on your own, or should I take you?”

Alaricka sneered, “Let’s go, just ignore him.” Jaylene nodded hard, and the tricycle started moving slowly.

Who knew, Kieran strode over. The tricycle was an open design, so while it wasn’t going fast, Kieran reached out and grabbed Alaricka’s hand. With one strong pull, Alaricka was dragged down.

Alaricka didn’t even have time to react before Kieran pulled her down. Alaricka thought she was about to hit the hard ground. She shut her eyes tight, frowned, and her heart raced at that moment. She fell into a warm, solid hug, and her nose caught a familiar scent.

Kieran’s cold, hard voice came from above her: “Since you don’t want to leave, I’ll just carry you.” She hadn’t even had time to accept what was happening, and then everything started spinning. Alaricka saw the ground. She opened her eyes wide.

She was slung over Kieran’s shoulder, her stomach pressed against Kieran’s hard shoulder bone. Every step Kieran took seemed like it was going to jab right through her stomach and force everything inside out… “Kieran! Let go of me! Let go of me now!”

She punched Kieran hard on the back. She pounded on Kieran’s back, making a thumping sound, and Kieran just walked faster, bumping her around even more, which made Alaricka so mad she almost wanted to bite him. “Kieran, what is wrong with you?”

Kieran didn’t say a word, opened the car door, and just threw her into the back seat. Although the car mat was really soft, it still knocked Alaricka for a loop.

In the chaos, she heard Jaylene’s voice. “Kieran, didn’t you hear she didn’t want to go with you?!”

Kieran slammed the car door shut, and their voices were cut off outside the door. Alaricka hurriedly got up from the back seat, grabbed the car window, and tried to open the door. But it wouldn’t open, both doors on the sides must've been locked by Kieran.
