Chapter 225

The people who were taken advantage of did not dare to retaliate because of the Wilder family and could only swallow their grievances in silence.

Thomas said that Michael’s child was a burden and complained about why Michael brought the child back to the country.

Wasn’t Helen from the Jills family still alive? He wanted Michael to give Jordan to Helen so that Michael could start anew with Jessica without wasting any time.

Michael’s stubbornness made Thomas angry. No one expected that Michael was hiding such a significant identity.

The banquet officially started, and Collin went on stage to give a speech.

“Hurricane Media was able to return to Cheria, and I was able to retake my parents’ business thanks to my friends and my lover,” said Collin, his gaze fixed on Jaden, openly mentioning him without hesitation. “From now on, Hurricane Media will be managed by me and my lover together. Today is Hurricane Media’s banquet, and I want everyone to understand this.”

His tone was somewhat serious. “My relationship with my lover is stable, and he is the lover I will ever have. I won’t be with anyone else, whether male or female. This is no secret in our circle, and I’m never ashamed to say it. If anyone wants trouble, then Hurricane Media is not afraid to have a couple of enemies.”

Joanne looked pale under the stage. She understood that Collin’s words were directed at her and Uncle Mason, telling them not to waste their efforts anymore.

Did Collin really like Jaden to this extent? Joanne was even willing to agree to Uncle Mason’s unreasonable requests. As long as she could marry Collin, she could turn a blind eye to Collin and Jaden’s relationship. Why couldn’t Collin even accept that?

She felt that Collin was so stubborn.

After a pause, Joanne lowered her head. She had forgotten that Collin had always been stubborn since childhood. She remembered when they were kids playing together, Jessica wanted a flower on the fence, the tallest one.

They were all still children and were unable to reach it. Collin climbed all the way to the highest point for Jessica and dangerously stood on one foot at the edge to pick the flower. He fell and still had the scars now.

She had thought Collin liked Jessica, otherwise, he wouldn’t have tried so hard. Unexpectedly…

Never mind, it was impossible.

Joanne turned and left but was stopped at the restroom door by Uncle Mason.

“What, are you retreating just because of Collin’s words? Looks like you don’t like Collin that much,” Uncle Mason said.

Joanne replied, “How could I not like Collin? I like him just as much as Jasper! But I’ve already lost in every way. Collin has said it himself, what else can I do?”

“You still have a chance.”

Joanne looked at Uncle Mason.

Jessica favored Montvue Tower and went back to hold a meeting with the project team.

“Go look into it, Indya. I can’t get the Aqua Court, and Montvue Tower can’t be wasted in Thomas’s hands. Take it if the price is reasonable. I’ve checked out the lands at the back–it’s good. The subsequent development will definitely be even better. Continuing to build Montvue Tower will make it a prime location for future demand.”

Shannon presented all the market evaluations and the post-launch price estimates. Everyone thought it was a viable project. Even the usually strict old-school board members agreed.

Because of the Montvue Tower project, Jessica worked overtime for many consecutive days. No matter how late it was, Chris always left a light on and quietly sat in the living room waiting for her to come back, unless he had surgery the next day.
