Chapter 223

The rest would be handled by Francesca.

Francesca pushed up the glasses she had specially brought today. “I hope you can be a bit more competent as a mascot, Mr. Green. Don’t always stick by Ms. Wilder’s side. Go mingle on your own, so I can help you expand your network. If you always stick to Ms. Wilder, all your connections will come from Ms. Wilder.”

Chris was at a loss for words. Now Francesca was starting to have demands.

Considering Francesca’s hard work, Chris thought for a long time before agreeing, “But it can’t be more than two hours.”

“Okay,”

With this leisurely atmosphere, Jaden thought it was about time to leave, but Chris pulled him back and pointed at Collin, asking, “Who is the woman beside Collin? I’ve been watching for a while. She’s always following Collin around, but it seems like Collin doesn’t really want to pay attention to her.”

Jaden followed Chris’s finger and saw a woman indeed, wearing a silver, tight-fitting long dress, with big wavy hair and bright red lips.

Seeing her, Jaden’s eyes darkened slightly but soon calmed down.

“Joanne Kent.”

Jessica heard the name and glanced over. “It really is Joanne. She’s a childhood friend of mine and Collin, probably a few years younger than me. She’s liked Collin since they were kids and kept pestering him. Even after Collin went abroad, she went overseas to meet him a few times. She’s pretty much a kid who doesn’t care about the family business.”

“Huh? You mean Joanne likes Collin? Doesn’t she know Collin already has a boyfriend?”

How could she not know? Everyone in the circle knew about their relationship. When Hurricane Media returned to Collin, in interviews Collin openly announced his relationship with Jaden, never hiding it or keeping it secret from anyone.

Otherwise, what would the Phillips family be making a fuss about?

But Joanne acted like she didn’t see it. Every time there was an event with Collin, she made sure to stick close to him, as if she was the real girlfriend.

Jaden didn’t really see Joanne as a threat, so he naturally wouldn’t lose his temper at Joanne. He understood Collin didn’t like her and naturally didn’t care.

“Oh, and Uncle Mason also said that Collin could be with me, but he must marry and have children. At that time, Uncle Mason’s choice was Joanne.”

This all happened after Chris left.

That day after dinner, their attitude towards Jaden changed. Maybe they saw Jaden could bring benefits to the Phillips family, so they were no longer forcing him to leave. But they had only one requirement – Collin must marry and have children.

He couldn’t just live a life with a man.

As long as Collin was willing to marry and have kids, it didn’t matter who it was.

Joanne was also mentioned by Uncle Mason.

Joanne’s father seemed to have business relations with Uncle Mason, and the two families were close.

“Standing by Collin, Joanne looks like the lady of the house,” said Indya.

Jaden raised his wine glass and walked over.

“You said you wouldn’t get jealous, but now you’re angry?” Chris teased.

Jessica said, “As long as there are feelings, it’s impossible to let others get close to the person you care about. Just like me, I’d see anyone who wants to get close to you as a rival. I wouldn’t be happy even if that person didn’t have a chance.”

“I won’t give anyone a chance,” said Chris.

“You’d better,” replied Jessica.

Jaden returned to Collin’s side. Everyone saw Joanne roll her eyes, but she didn’t leave. Collin quickly took Jaden’s hand and led him to meet future business partners of Hurricane Media, completely ignoring Joanne.
