Chapter 18
Fresh blood spilled freely that night. Men lay on the ground, breathing their last. Alvin watched in disbelief. Ever since the Williams family established the Blackguard, it had never failed. Everyone knew them as all-powerful killers with terrifying skills. Yet, tonight, the Blackguard faced a formidable enemy.
At first contact, eight Blackguard members were killed. Their corpses lay lifeless. Alvin's arrogance and confidence vanished, replaced by terror. The Blackguard was losing! In the blink of an eye, nearly a third of their number was wiped out. Dustin and his men, however, were unscathed.
Alvin couldn't believe his eyes. Dustin's men seemed inhuman, like demons. Their rampage instilled such terror that Alvin felt his soul leave his body. What kind of people were they? Each seemed a merciless killer, radiating violent intent like gods of death. This was something the Blackguard couldn't match. The difference was unmistakable; Dustin's men had committed a one-sided massacre.
Within moments of Alvin's shock, silence fell. All thirty-plus Blackguard members lay dead.
"You you" Alvin stammered, looking at Dustin and his men in horror.
"My Liege, fifteen seconds," someone said, saluting Dustin.
"Still sloppy," Dustin replied calmly.
Alvin's face went pale. They had killed a force three times their size in fifteen seconds.
"The Williams family's Blackguard can each fight ten men at once!" Alvin trembled.
"Is that so?" Dustin sneered. "These are my Secret Guard. I trained them out of boredom. I think they could probably take on a hundred each"
This wasn't a simple comparison. One Blackguard member could beat ten ordinary men, but one Secret Guard member could beat a hundred Blackguard members! Alvin's eyes widened.
"Dustin Fox, who the hell are you?" Alvin demanded. If his men were so formidable, their master was certainly no ordinary man. Alvin knew he was in trouble.
"I told you. You're not worthy of knowing," Dustin said icily.
"You won this round!" Alvin spat, turning to his car. His Blackguard was annihilated; he could do nothing against Dustin Fox. He could only leave.
"Did I say you could leave?" Dustin's face turned cold.
Gunshots rang out. The tires of the Williams family's ten vehicles were blown out.
"You're crossing the line, Dustin Fox!" Alvin yelled. "You may have won this time, but that doesn't mean the Williams family can't deal with you!" The Williams family of Honora was elite and wealthy, holding sway for years. He didn't believe Dustin could touch him.
"The Williams family" Dustin laughed mockingly. Hell Hall had defeated countless such families.
"Drake," Dustin said quietly to the man beside him.
Drake understood. He approached Alvin's car.
"Stop him!" Alvin cried. The Williams family still had men left, including a powerful, skilled butler.
The butler attacked, aiming for Drake's heart. Drake casually grabbed the butler's neck, immobilizing him. Alvin's pupils shrank. He knew his butler's skill. With a crack, the butler's neck snapped.
Drake moved toward Alvin. In terror, Alvin fired his black handgun. Drake effortlessly dodged the bullets. When the gun was empty, Drake remained unharmed.
"A sovereign-grade fighter!" Alvin gasped. Drake could dodge bullets! Such individuals, honed to superhuman levels, were exceptionally powerful. How could such a fighter be Dustin's subordinate?
Alvin's world seemed to collapse. He couldn't comprehend Dustin's status. Drake ripped the car door off its hinges, dragging Alvin to Dustin's feet.
"My Liege, do with him as you see fit." Drake bowed.
Dustin looked down at Alvin, whose heart pounded in terror.
"D-Dustin, no matter who you are, the Williams family's influence is still significant," Alvin stammered. "If you let me go, I promise I'll never return to Rivenesco!"
Dustin sneered. "You wanted to kill me," he said coldly.
Alvin felt a sharp pain in his chest. A dagger protruded. His eyes widened in shock as he fell.
Dustin glanced at the Williams family's motorcade. "Leave no survivors."
"Yes, sir."
Within a minute, all the Williams family's men were dead, including Alvin. Dustin didn't spare a glance at the corpse. He was merciless to those who sought his death. He turned towards the Langley family villa.
"Goodbye, King of Hades!" Drake and the others knelt.
At the Wyatt family villa, Amara asked her scout, "How are things? Any news?"
"Dr. Williams took ten luxury cars and thirty-two Blackguard members toward the Langley family villa," the scout reported.
The Wyatt sisters were stunned.
"Thirty-two Blackguard members? He thinks highly of that trash!" Elisa muttered.
"Dustin's dead!" Delia snickered. The sisters agreed. He was doomed.
"Keep us posted!" Amara dismissed the scout.
Later, the scout returned. "The Williams family's motorcade is stuck. Tires blown out, everyone vanished. Blood on the ground. Dustin Fox is at the Langley family villa, unmoved"
The Wyatt sisters were shocked. Who could have done this? Could it have been Dustin? No, that was impossible!
