Chapter 185: Seizing the Chapel
Xia Yangyang rushed forward. "What are you doing?"
Kim Fei'er stepped forward. "We need this hall for rehearsal. Anything irrelevant must be removed."
Xia Yangyang retorted, "I have the application form. For the next two weeks, we have the right to use this hall. Please leave."
Kim Fei'er responded arrogantly, "Don't be ridiculous, Xia Yangyang. Our Performing Arts Department has priority. Even with your application, the teacher supervising our rehearsal is the department head—and the principal's daughter. Do you think arguing with me makes sense?"
Wen Xiaochu interjected, "There's a principle of first-come, first-served. Even the principal's daughter must follow the rules."
Kim Fei'er scoffed, "Then discuss principles with the principal." She turned and commanded, "Remove all props and clothing."
Xia Yangyang's group reacted defiantly. The argument escalated, threatening to become physical.
Gu Zhaohan entered, carrying a backpack.
Seeing him, Kim Fei'er brightened. "Prince, you're early! I thought you were only free tonight?"
Gu Zhaohan's expression was cool. "What happened?"
Kim Fei'er clung to his arm dismissively. "Just some clowns causing trouble."
Wen Xiaochu protested, "Kim Fei'er, who are you calling a clown? Gu Zhaohan, you're here just in time. Can you judge this fairly?" She explained how Kim Fei'er had seized the hall, including Xia Yangyang's early application and the effort to move the props. "Isn't this excessive? The hall is school property; there are no special priority rights."
All eyes turned to Gu Zhaohan. He held high prestige and was the only one who could control Kim Fei'er. If he intervened, Kim Fei'er would be powerless. Xia Yangyang also watched him intently. Although on the same team as Kim Fei'er, Gu Zhaohan always seemed fair to Xia Yangyang. Kim Fei'er was clearly acting unreasonably. Xia Yangyang refused to believe Gu Zhaohan would side with her.
Gu Zhaohan remained silent before his gaze fell on Xia Yangyang. In a cold tone, he said, "Give up. You can't win this. You're wasting your effort."
Xia Yangyang was shocked, as was everyone else. Everyone knew Xia Yangyang was Gu Zhaohan's aunt. There was no reason for him not to help her. Instead, he'd insulted her.
Kim Fei'er, also surprised by Gu Zhaohan's stance, smirked. "Xia Yangyang, the Prince is right. Give up now, and we'll forget our bet. Otherwise, don't blame me."
Xia Yangyang declared, "I will not give up, nor will I admit defeat." She turned to her group. "Move everything to the east hall."
As they left, she heard Kim Fei'er's mocking laughter. "She's putting on a brave face. I can't wait to see how long that lasts."
