Chapter 118
Larry stepped forward, cupping his hands in a show of reverence. "Thank you for your help, Mr. Severin. We would have been dead without you."
Severin smiled. "It was nothing. Though, I am a little annoyed that my clothes are covered in blood. I only got them two days ago!"
Larry chuckled. "Don't worry, Mr. Severin. I know the brand. I'll send someone to get you an identical set. It would be troublesome to explain this to your wife!"
Severin nodded. "I suppose that's our only option."
After Larry instructed a subordinate to photograph Severin's clothing label, he addressed the remaining Cedar Gang members: "This is the end of the Cedar Gang. I'll send someone to take over your territory and property. Those who wish to join us are welcome; otherwise, you may leave."
"Thank you for not killing us!" someone shouted.
Others echoed the sentiment: "Yes! Thank you for sparing our lives!"
Larry paused, then said, "Take these corpses away and clean everything thoroughly. No one mentions what Mr. Severin did today. If I hear a single word, I will find you and cut out your tongue!"
Blade glared at the trembling businessmen kneeling on the ground. "That includes you."
"Of course! We won't say anything!" they promised, cold sweat beading on their foreheads.
Severin walked to the table and sat down. "I haven't even finished eating! Hall Master Larry, let's continue. We'll leave once the Cedar Gang members dispose of the bodies."
Larry joined him, chuckling. "I'm still hungry. Let's eat. Once my men return with your clothes, you can shower and change."
Severin smiled. "I believe the wine isn't poisoned. We can drink it."
Blade grinned, grabbing a bottle. He poured a glass for Severin. "You're a god, Mr. Severin! You'll always be our boss!"
"Yes, you're our boss! You saved our lives!" Larry agreed.
Severin smiled wryly. He didn't care what they called him, as long as it wasn't 'Supreme Leader.'
By the time they finished eating, Severin's new clothes had arrived. He showered, changed, and then joined Larry and the others for the drive home.
In the car, Severin decided to call one of his apprentices.
A middle-aged man in a luxurious villa answered excitedly. "Master! What can I do for you?"
Severin smirked. "How are you? Everything going well?"
"He he, great, but the attention is a bit much. Everyone recognizes me!" Warren Siegfried, a war hero, laughed. "I prefer war. Now, everyone wants to befriend me, and I can't tell who's genuine. Everyone's trying to introduce their daughters and granddaughters! It's irritating!"
He paused, then asked, "What did you need?"
"I need you to send some strong bodyguards to protect my family. I can't always be there," Severin said.
"No problem! Just send me your address," Warren said readily.
