Chapter 107

"How dare you hit me!" Jada was stunned by Larry's slap. Her head rang.

She'd never been slapped before. Spoiled by her parents, the three slaps in two days—one from Severin the previous night, one from Maurice minutes ago, and now this one—were overwhelming. She joked, "If there were a 'Professional Slap-Receiver' title, I'd win." (The intrusive advertisement has been removed.)

"And? What are you going to do about it?" Larry's expression hardened. "You dared call Mister Severin a bastard? Mister Severin is like an elder brother to me, his wife like a sister-in-law. You deserve this for your insidious plot against her."

The hard slap drew blood from Jada's mouth. She recoiled, aggrieved and silent, facing Larry's ferocity. Larry and Blade were notoriously cruel, known for killing without hesitation.

"Victor, II'll avenge my son!" Prunella, still consumed by revenge, remained oblivious.

Larry smiled coldly. "Be glad your son's alive. If I'd been there yesterday, he'd be a corpse, not a eunuch!"

Prunella recoiled, terrified.

Victor paled. "But sir, that's absurd. Severin just got out of prison. You two aren't close, are you?"

Larry smiled coldly. "Why bother with such trivialities? You've overstepped by asking so many questions."

As head of a third-tier family, beneath Draco Hall, Victor burned with anger at the slap and disrespect. He clenched his fists. "Sir, don't be arrogant. Draco Hall is powerful, but you don't rule Brookbourn. Don't burn your bridges."

"I stand by Mister Severin after what you did to him today!" Larry chuckled. "If you're angered, take your revenge. I welcome it. I thrive on it."

"You" Victor's face reddened, veins bulging. He knew he couldn't fight Draco Hall. He conceded. "You win, Severin. I didn't expect your connections. We'll let this go. But don't be arrogant!" He ordered his men, "Let's go!"

"Hold it," Severin said coldly.

Victor stopped and turned. "We're even for Patrick. What else?"

"Maybe we should leave it," Diane urged, fearing escalation.

Severin stared at Victor. "Patrick deserved what happened last night. You should be grateful I didn't press charges! But I haven't avenged what you did to my parents!"

"You injured our bodyguards, and your father slapped my daughter! What else do you want?" Victor protested.
