Chapter 990
"Sorry, I'm late," Alexander said from behind. He hurried over, placed his hands on Lily's shoulders, and kissed her softly on the cheek.
"Ah, cheesy!" Lisa playfully covered her eyes. "Looks like we can be full without the actual meal," Mike chuckled.
Mike and Alexander arrived simultaneously. Mike looked at his son, Nick, and asked, "Are you doing well?"
Nick nodded thoughtfully, replying in a mature tone, "I'm fine." Mike smiled with satisfaction and sat beside his son. Turning to Lily, he said, "Long time no see, Ms. Christian."
"Yeah, long time no see. It's been a while since I last saw Nick. I'm glad you could make it. Did you come together?" Lily asked with a smile.
"Yes, I'm here to discussโ" Alexander interrupted. He placed a hand on the back of Mike's chair, explaining, "Mr. Corden came to discuss our collaboration. We finished at the company and decided to come here together. I reserved this restaurant because it's close to home, saving you the travel."
Mike smiled in reply, "Haha. Yes, that's right. We were discussing some business."
Lily inquired, "Is Mr. Corden collaborating with La Beautรฉ Group again? Is it fragrance-related? Our previous collaboration on Southbank soap was wonderful." Her innovative formula had led to the soap's phenomenal success. Afterward, she'd focused on perfumes and essential oils, largely putting the soap behind her.
"Southbank soapโฆ" Mike hesitated, glancing at Alexander before replying with a smile, "Not exactly. Our company has diverse interests, and La Beautรฉ Group is constantly expanding and innovating. Are you interested in discussing it, Ms. Christian?"
Lily shook her head. "I'm not good at business. I only know how to make trivial things like essential oils and perfumes."
"This isn't trivial, Ms. Christian. You're being too modest. Your name is famous abroad. Many young people love your perfumes. Lisa and her team also impressed everyone with your creations."
Lily blushed slightly. "Not really. Lisa and her team are exceptional."
"You're too modest. I wanted to place a large order, but Mr. Russell said you were pregnant and wouldn't allow it," Mike stated.
Alexander interjected, slightly annoyed, "We agreed not to mention this."
Lily's eyes lit up. "Really? You can place an order in advance. I'll fulfill it after I give birth, Mr. Corden."
Mike chuckled, "Haha. I don't mind. There's no need to work so hard, Ms. Christian. You don't need a job to afford baby formula, do you?" He playfully glanced at Alexander.
Alexander retorted, "Of course not. My wife doesn't need to worry about formula money. You don't need to work so hard. Did I say you could work right after giving birth? Don't you care about your health?"
Lily responded half-jokingly, "I didn't say I would work right after giving birth. I can sign the order and secure the business first!"
Mike laughed heartily. "You just said you don't know how to do business. Isn't this pretty good?"
Alexander added, "You don't need to worry about orders, Lily. I can guarantee endless orders as soon as you announce it. Many in our circle are eager to purchase your perfumes. You should focus on expanding and creating more."
Their reunion was filled with cheerful conversation.
