Nathaniel shook his head. "Frame her? Your precious daughter surpasses me in such matters. Her skill in manipulating multiple threads simultaneously is astonishing. If I hadn't been one step ahead, I'd be the victim."
"How could you?" Eloise cried. "She's your sister!"

Nathaniel laughed, as if amused by a joke. "My sister? Have you forgotten her surname is Tanner, and mine is Hall? How could she be my sister?"
